I'm a vamp [as everyone knows by now] and I really don't mind it. I'm proud of it. I can't stand the Thirst, though...I haven't been a Vampire for very long...but it's getting worse and my donor can't do anything about it. I say I'm a Psi/Sang vamp but even psi feedings aren't helping much anymore. I want blood but I can't get alone with my donor until our school's trip to Washington DC in MAY we could be alone then. She has also not given me proof that she's healthy...it's driving me insane. :tearhair: :gwere:

Also, back when I was pretty naive about "coming out of the coffin" to my friends, I just tried telling them all straight-out. I got really funny looks and just laughed it off. They then took it as a joke. Good thing I'm an okay liar and actress. I did tell my friends Tim and Zeke (then they were asking me about it at lunch and Christina heard and that's how my donor found out) [yes, Christina is my donor's name]. Now, we were in band class and Zeke decided to talk to me about it in front of EVERYONE. Here was our conversation:

Zeke: "So, are you really a vampire, or were you just joking?"

Me: "I don't talk about it with people like you."

Zeke: " Well, who do you talk to it with? Other vampires?"

Me: "Will you just be quiet!"

Zeke " Okay...jeesh"

Luckily no one was in earshot. That's what I get for trusting a secret with someone like him I guess.

That's my rant XXX

Take it from me I know all about being driven up a wall when you cant get a feeding :aargh!: But the thing to keep in mind is that it is better to be safe than sorry. Its much better to know that your donor is healthy and willing, because people will change their minds its not exactly a small issue. After that your only hurdle is routines, check ups to make sure the person remains healthy, not overfeeding or stressing your friendship with your donor. As for annoying people it seems most young vampires do tell someone they shouldnt at least once, I know I did  playing it off usually works though and if not ignoring them is the next best thing.

Serenity is absolutely right, we've nearly all told someone we regretted saying anything to, who's made us wish we'd kept our news to ourselves. Sometimes they tell others, sometimes they just ask awkward questions at the worst possible times, like in crowded rooms or busy queues.
If he becomes a real nuisance you could always try saying in a loud voice "Yeah I know I said that, but you didn't have to believe me. How crazy are you?" Maybe he'd leave you alone then. lol

The thirst can be the worst thing about the whole Vampire experience. Getting it under control is the hardest thing many Vampires do. It's like any other craving though it needs to be managed rather than trying to ignore it.
If you can eat things that help lessen the cravings that's always a good idea. Having your meat as raw as your tastebuds (or your parents) will allow sometimes works, eating Honey sometimes works too, as does chocolate, (but that's heavy on the thighs so take it easy there). lol
Once again though Serenity is right, it is better to be safe than rush into anything just because you're cravings are trying to get the better of you. I know it's hard, believe me I do. But hang in there you'll get it.
How much does Psi feeding help you? And what kind do you do?

Sang feeding can be dangerous if you don't know and believe you can trust the person you're feeding from. Potential donors need to be checked for all kinds of diseases before you take their blood into your body.
Gentleman Death wrote an excellent piece on feeding safety and placed it in the Vampire Forum here:

Good substitutes for blood are quite hard to find, I have a friend who uses V8 to help quiet her cravings. Apparently the mixture of vegetables and fruit juices with all the vitamins and minerals they contain are excellent for that.

Why can't you get time alone with your donor?
It must be very frustrating for you.
If you don't know for sure that she's safe to feed from can you find someone else to feed from or is that really hard to do?
I like V8, should I be worried?

To Echo:

I can't get alone with my donor because we live in different towns and her mother is...difficult. She thinks I'm quite freaky and won't let me over to thier house. And my mother thinks her mother's crazy and won't let me over... : ( And I can't find anyone else to feed from. It's very hard where I live. I'll survive.

To Zygo:

I dunno. I've never tried blood oranges before...I don't really like regular oranges so I never tried.

Oh, and the psychic feedings are working a bit. :)&

Thanks, everyone B)
