My name's Obsidian, I'm 20 years old and I'm Dragon-Kin.
I am the Western type, known for being disagreeable hoarders of treasure. I admit I am often disagreeable, but sadly I've no hoards of gold or jewels stashed away anywhere.

I started my awakening when I was 15, I'll tell you about that later maybe.
The thing I like to do most is eat, and the thing I hate to do most is work.
My best day was the day I passed my finals, and my most treasured past life memory is the one I have of flying. Maybe I'll tell you about that too, later.

Well that's enough for now I think.

Welcome You sure you have no treasure lying around, we have such an empty treasure room here...could really use some fillling...you dragons should get on that :P (by the way, why is there no tongue sticking out smilie...I find that so strange)

Don't worry about the curtains, I bet Lady C's got spares somewhere.

Why are Dragons always said to sleep on a pile of treasure in the myths and legends? It would be very uncomfy I think. Very lumpy, and quite crunchy too when you turned over. You'd never get any sleep!

How are you with comfy beds and soft squishy pillows? There are lots of those to choose from, unless of course you like it extra warm and toasty? If you do then you should take a wander down to the furnace in the basement.
I think there's a secret knock (you'd have to ask Zygo about that! Huh boys!! ) but there are some really cosy places to curl up there as it was adapted specially by the Forum Pheonix for fiery personalities.

Wherever you decide to claim a room I hope you enjoy your stay.

Welcome to Castle Otherkin, I read your post about flying on the way down here and I shall post on that later but now ...(Richard O'Brian voice) Will you start the furnace Please... hmm no maybe not but I did like him in the crystal maze.
The secret knock goes like this.

tap tap knock pause tap knock thump thump tap knock pause for 2 then tap tap tappity tap knock tapitty thump tick tick thumpity thump tick tap twickety klick tapperty twink tinkle................so you might want to just come in when your ready the door isn't locked .
There are allsorts of things in the furnace now from one person sized barbecues to a fully functional blast furnace. I got that second hand but it was the only thing with enough umph to run the radiators since the castle got so big.
Please let yourself in and if you can think of anything you want to add sing out and we'll make space for it.

If you're into flying does that mean I can add you to the list for broom racing on Wednesday?
We have cleared all the fragile obstacles out of the corridor now so it's just about avoiding the walls. It's better now you don't have to worry about Lady C's Vases

Just kidding, anyway i am a sang and if you have any worries you can always talk to the moderators, they keep us in check

So enjoy you're stay watch out for the stray animals running around and don't feed the vampires after midnight we tend to snack on the snack bearers

I think everyone has given you a good idea of how to find yourself a room, once you've unpacked you could meet us in the dining room for tea. Only if you want to of course.

Be prepared for lots of questions, but as Shade said you don't have to answer any of them, so don't panic.

I'm really happy to have another Dragon here, hopefully there will be more.

If you know you are a Western Dragon do you know which area you come from or is it vague for you?

I've never been anyone's pet before, what would I have to do?

I don't mind questions, I ask enough so I can't moan about having to answer some too. So ask away.

I think the furnace sounds just about right for me. I hate the cold.
I'd love to try broom racing, it's a kind of flying I've never done before and I love to try new things. Sorry I missed this week, but I'll be there next week no problem.
