I'm just curious... what sorts of phantom limbs (tails, wings, ears, etc.) do y'all have? And how severely do you feel them? Do you have any stories about things reacting to them, people seeing them, etc?

I guess I'll start. The main things that I feel from my true form are my header and rearview mirrors. Due to the mirrors, I am extremely ticklish on the sides of my head, and it feels really weird to wear over-the-ear style headphones. The header gets in the way of everything. I can't sit in the back seat of a car with a seat in front of me because I sense it that strongly. I won't hold babies because I'm afraid I'll hurt them. I've had a lot of things react to my phantom form, from elevators that claim their weight limit has been exceeded when I'm the only one on them, to children in the mall calling me "Frank", a combine character from a popular children's movie.

Sometimes, the sense of my astral, or phantom form gets such to the degree that I feel every aspect of myself, including being 20 ft. tall with a 30 ft. header. At times, I have to go outside because the house is in my way. I've learned to adapt, though, and I'm fortunate to live in a very open-minded family that doesn't mind sharing quarters with an astral combine harvester.

Well I don't have astral limbs that I'm aware of BC, but I can relate to the feeling of a house being in my way.
I have recently moved and the other occupants of the house are noisy and messy. (Children often are, and while I understand this, I am used to having my own space and they do have a way of spreading themselves around the house that is very hard for me.)
Living in a house that even they admit is full to overflowing with useless junk they don't need any more, is very hard for me, so with their agreement and assistance I am clearing the house of it's clutter to give me more room for the air I need.
I don't have headers or wings or extra legs to get in my way, but still a house full of old, heavy wooden furniture and 'stuff' makes me nervous. I feel like I cannot move or breathe. It begins to feel like it is all gathering close around me, crowding me out, and I have to get out and walk, or clear stuff out.
I've been doing the clearing for a while now and it is beginning to feel better, but I still recognise the crowded feeling. I guess I have a ways to go before I'm done. otherkin/lol.gif

Have you always felt like this, or is it a new thing for you?

I've always felt that way. My mom has a picture of me when I was young child where my dad is holding me chest-to-chest, and I'm leaning WAY out of his arms with my arms back and head back. I always did this, and wouldn't let anybody hold me unless they held me my-back-to-their-chest.

I often experience phantom fur, stripes, muzzle, paws, claws, tail, and like my shoulderblades should be able to move differently.

Very occasionally I get the physical sense of a tail of some description but for the most part the various bits of my essence actually fit in roughly the same configuration as this body. However their size is something of a problem. Most often manifesting in tight joints that stretch too far.....thats bizzarre... stretching upwards and having whats inside push my body outwards making my arms and legs longer than they should get. The only way to describe it is like having a rugby player pulling on each arm and leg.

Sometimes when it's really bad I feel like I am going to burst which is when I have to send the body to sleep and let the inside out.
I do get phantom flames. I can feel the flames flickering on my skin and and whenever I shut my eyes I see them all over my body...thats a bit wierd when I give someone a hug.
So not really any phantom limbs no, but I definitely feel the presence of my essence in other ways.
one odd feeling is when my head and face feel too small but it's more like when I touch my hands to my face they are too big, I cant think how to describe that any better but it's wierd none the less

I have to say the stretching thing really isn't pleasant at all.

I have never knocked anything over, or got bits of me trapped anywhere. My main fear has been that I might hit someone with them, but that hasn't happened yet, which is good. I feel them myself a lot, not their wieght but their size.
My tail seems to keep pretty much to itself, but my wings always feel cramped and squished, and my skin very often feels tight especially on my hands, face and feet.
