I was wondering what happens on your Christmas day?

We get up at about 8am and have breakfast. Toast and Jam and a huge cup of coffee.
Then we open presents, and put on the vegetables to go with the Turkey mum cooked the day before.
Then usually listen to Carols on the radio until the veg are done.
Then it's lunch time, with a glass of wine, or maybe two. Then afterwards we have Christmas pud and brandy cream. Yummy!

Then we pile up the dishwasher and watch the James Bond movie. With a small glass of sherry. smile.gif

Then it's time for a small meal/snack I never feel like eating very much, I'm usually still quite full of dinner. smile.gif
Then a christmas movie there's usually a good one on on Christmas day.
Lastly a bite of supper, more Carols and the final glass of sherry to help us sleep after all the excitement. otherkin/687.gif

Merry Christmas. Hic!! otherkin/lol.gif

Oh I love Christmas.
Several family members/friends arrive the night before. Then on Christmas morning we get up early and have breakfast, usually porridge with cream and syrup.
Then we put the Turkey in and we all go to church. We always walk and I love seeing everyone I know smiling and laughing as they coverge on the church. Then the service and singing Carols.
I am aware that it is hypocritical, as I never go to church at any other time of year, but I love the Christmas service so I don't care. smile.gif

After church we spend some time with friends and neighbours chatting and having coffee and mince pies in the church hall, then we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and walk home.
By the time we get back it's about 1pm and we're all starving so we make sausages and bacon and have piles of sandwiches for lunch, and put vegetables on to cook.
Now we open presents and watch something Christmassy on the TV.

Dinner time is around 7pm, and then perhaps a movie and silly games like charades and then bed.

Happy Christmas everyone. smile.gif

Do you have a Christmas Pudding Faith?
I know not everyone does these days, but I couldn't not have pud!

Oooh didn't I say? Sorry! rolleyes.gif

Oh yes, tisn't Christmas dinner without pud.
Do you set fire to yours?
We tried it one year, but it didn't end well. (Singed eyebrows don't suit everyone you know?) We've never done it since. otherkin/lol.gif

Now we just have it warm and serve it with lovely Brandy ice-cream.

No churches over the holidays, although I do love the architecture I tend to avoid them at this time of year and leave them to the religious followers to enjoy.
We often take a walk on the 21st to celebrate the Solstice and enjoy mother nature in her winter glory. That's an important part of the holidays for me, just enjoying the 'feel' of things. It also gives the children some exercise and an appetite.

The 25th is for opening presents from the rest of the family and sitting in front of the TV with a box of chocs and a huge bottle of Cherry Cola or Vimto. otherkin/687.gif
