ComeToMe- 06-27-2008
I spoke to my mother about this and after that I spoke to terri-vale who is at the moment our only human member who is posting.

My mother said that even though we do come here to express our kin side perhaps an area to express our human side might be a good idea.
I then spoke to terri yesterday because she is a human and asked her if she thought the forum would benefit from a human Chamber Room. She said that although she was comfortable in her niche in the Wiccan room, that a human room would also be a place she could make herself at home.
So here it is.

A place to discuss anything about the human side of your life that may bother you.

For Dragonslorefury the name of this Chamber Room has been modified to include the term Non-Kin. I hope this is acceptable to her? smile.gif

Good idea I think. Is this a place for more "mundane" problems aswell then?

ComeToMe- 06-27-2008
When you say mundane like that it looks like it's a swear word GD.
That section is called that because when we called it 'Human Problems' we got complaints! otherkin/lol.gif
The place for ranting about problems with humans/mundanes/non-kin is still up in the Turrets and Battlements.
This space is for problems with your human/mundane/non-kin life. For your posts about your holidays, your school work, exams, work problems, the rise in petrol prices.
Weddings, parties, should any of you decide to have a baby! Etc, Etc.
Anything that is not about kin will find a home here I suppose.

I'll be sure and tell my mother you approve. otherkin/687.gif

My appolpgies, i didn't mean it sound like a swear word lol
Sounds like a god place to me though.

ElvinDreams- 06-27-2008
Actually I was one of the ones who spoke against calling it human problems, because I thought it sounded like we expected to have problems with all humans which of course we don't. We chose the word mundane to distinguish the humans we had problems with from the majority of the population who don't even know we exists or probably wouldn't believe it if they did. And of course those wonderful ones like terri and donkeyman who accept us for who and what we are, and then go on with their lives and manage to include us too. otherkin/687.gif

What happened to him by the way? He's not been around for a while.
Wolfbrother he is your friend isn't he? Is he OK?

terri-vale- 06-27-2008
wow yay smile.gif great idea on this one Lady C, i will have many rants about the pentrol prices now smile.gif

oh i feel quiet a minority now being the only human lol (jokes)

i agree with what you said though, even kin have a human side, everyone does, its the normal everyday things that we have to live with. i think everyone here has had one very human moment in there lives, picked up a paper and spent the whole day complaining smile.gif i do it quite regually...

it will also be nice to have a place for other new human members to come,

big thumbs up form me smile.gif

InDarknessBeWere- 06-27-2008
OK DO NOT get me started on the price of petrol or you'll be sorry. otherkin/lol.gif

And of course you're right we all have a human side. But I come here to get away from exams and the price of textiles, books and zips and all that human stuff that effects me every day.
Still I suppose I cannot escape it completely wherever I go. And it will give us all somewhere to go to talk about this stuff now. smile.gif
So thumbs up from me too.

I hope terri doesn't get bored with it all.
But I promise to tidy up before I leave the room, I won't leave it as untidy as mine. otherkin/687.gif

terri-vale- 06-27-2008
oh i cant get bord, i will just come up with crazy threads smile.gif
no mainly i would add a few threads for humans who may be finding it hard to deal with the world themselves.

its not just otherkin who have issues with humans, we have issues with ourselves sometimes too. :P

Dragonslorefury- 06-28-2008
Wow thank's for the consideration- I really appreciate it ^_^

Petrol not an issue if you don't have a car and I just finished my exams so alls happy on the dragon's front..... until results day. T_T

ComeToMe- 06-28-2008
Well whatever happens with your exams you now have somewhere to come and tell us all about them. Finger's crossed for the results by the way. smile.gif

Now the only problem with having this forum be happily accepted by the members is that I shall have to go home this weekend and tell my mother she was right, again. Oh how she'll love that. otherkin/lol.gif

Dragonslorefury- 06-28-2008
Well they will tell me whether I get into Uni or not so fingers crossed they'll be good enough.

Mum's usually are always right- they tend to have a weird knack at that.

ComeToMe- 06-28-2008
I'm lucky actually, my mum is always really polite when she says 'I told you so'. smile.gif

And I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed for your results.
How do you think you did? Or have you just no clue?

Dragonslorefury- 06-29-2008
I'm thinking i've done okay.
I am usually really nervous before and during exams but some of these ones made me want to do a little happy dance when I saw the questions and two of them I was really looking foward to.

The one I was really worried about was my advanced psychology (a first year degree course extra thingy I took on) and it actually turned out to be really enjoyable. One of my other psychology exams was fun as well but very long. I actually found myself strapped for time though and wrote about 15 pages in two hours. My hand was killing me afterwards. I'm cruel though- we had to design a study into socialisation using a psychological approach. I chose the behaviourist approach which always -*test*-('")s in a lab, mostly on animals and goes by positive and negitive reinforcement. So I said i'd get two groups of rats, give one group treats when they socialise and give the other group electric shocks when they socialise- I'm glad I didn't actually have to do it XP

History I enjoyed one but not the other but both are uncertain because it really depends on whether your marker agrees with your views or not. But I went into the exam with full marks on my coursework and good marks on last years exams (two marks off an A) so it'll all add up I hope.

ComeToMe- 06-29-2008
It sounds promising, and I hope everything turns out well for you.
I never could say I enjoyed any of my exams, sitting them or setting them, so you are way up on me. smile.gif
