The silence fills my ears
I see nothing and shiver with fear
I beg the angel of darknes
to leave me alone

The noise fills my ears
I am happy but not for long
I beg the angel of light
to leave me alone

The silence fills my ears
Although alone, I feel protected
I close my eyes and begin to cry out
'I wish for happiness, joy, and light but,
It seems I can't be truley happy.'

The noise fills my ears
I open my eyes, mind, and heart to see
Friends surrounding me
One says 'Hello.' another ask 'You okay?'
another says 'We were worried.'
but one says nothing and holds out their hand
I take it with a smile
knowing they are my true friend.

I love that poem Kiari.

I love the idea and the feeling behind it, and the message it contains.
I think it is a message that many of us here know quite well, but I also would like to thankyou for reminding me of it.

It has been a long time since a poem made me want to cry and then smile all at the same time.

I liked both of those poems very much Kiari.
But the second one has a sense of Kin about it that appeals to me, and obviously the others too, very much.

I am sure there are others who have been in the position where they have been bullied, and have spotted one person on the edge of what is happening who would love to help, but is just to scared and feels too helpless to try. And afterward, recognising in that person some of what we felt and feel ourselves we have held a hand out and said I will help you, if you need me.
Sometimes the hand is slapped away, but sometimes our hand is grasped and a friendship is formed which can last a lifetime, and very rarely actually more than one lifetime.

Lonely, Suicide, Then A Wish Come True

I look around at people rushing by
Pushed to the floor, tears falling
I get up, and scream out
but no one hears me
I walk to the center of a crowd
no one notices me there
I look around and scream out sorrowfully

'do it' 'do it' no...
I give up slowly to my head
I put the gun to my heart
'pull it' 'pull it' I can't... 'now'
no one sees my pain

I get ready to pull
I stop and look around
no one sees me
I pull the trigger

Just like that time stops
I see a group of others
people just like me...
they disapear in the distance
without me
I run to catch up
'You can never belong'

And you can belong here with us for as long as you want.

We will listen and although we cannot promise that we will always be able to help you, we can promise that we will always try.

I am aware that I am using the word 'we' and speaking for everyone, and really I suppose I ought not to, but I cannot imagine any of my family here walking away from anyone who is lonely, scared or in pain without trying to help in some way. Because of this I feel that I can say 'we' with complete confidence.

We are a family, and we help our own.
