Just in case anyone was wondering.

The Realms of The Fae are:

FIRE
~~~~
Fire Spirits Include
Drakes:
Creatures half way between a lizard and a Dragon, Drakes are as adept at magic but are smaller and much more sociable than Dragons.
Salamanders:
Small fire lizards, with flames burning constantly across their skin, radiating outwards, as the move they scorch everything around them.
Fire Lizards:
Larger cousin of the Salamander, these creatures breathe fire when aroused, upset or annoyed. Aggresive in the extreme these creatures are too unpredictable to be completely trustworthy.
AIR
~~~
Air Spirits Include
Sylph:
An invisible elemental being of Air/Wind. Powerful, unpredictable, wild and untamable, Sylphs are the ultimate free spirits.
Phooka:
One of the shape shifters of the Fae, this creature is terrifying because you never know what it might become next. Almost always dark of coat/pelt it most commonly takes the form of a black horse with a long flowing mane and tail and large glowing, golden eyes. If a human is tempted onto it's back it gives them a wild and terrifying ride. Although it does love to scare humans it is considered virtually harmless as it always releases them unharmed afterwards.
Fachan:
This creature is terrifying in it's appearance. A withered body with only one spindly arm, a mane of black feathers and a very wide mouth, it is said to be so frightening that it can induce heart attacks and strokes in it's victims.
Trow:
Trows, in general, are short of stature, ugly and shy and are nocturnal in nature.Venturing out solely in the evening Trows have a fondness for music, and folktales tell of them kidnapping musicians or luring them back to their dens.

WATER
~~~~~~
Water Spirits Include
Kelpie:
A shape shifting water horse, greyish black in colour with a constantly dripping mane that gives an important clue to it's actual nature.
The Kelpie will tempt a human to ride upon it's back and then plunge into the nearest river or lake, diving deeply, thus drowning it's unfortunate human passanger. It will then devour them.
Undines:
Very beautiful, these Fairy-like elemental water spirits are immortal. Usually found in forest pools and waterfalls, they have beautiful voices said to entrance whoever hears them and cause them to fall instantly in love. It is believed that one of the few threats to an Undine's blessing of immortality would be if she were to fall in love with and marry a human and bear his child, she would then lose her "gift" of everlasting life.
Merfolk:
Unromantically described as a human-fish hybrid these are the mystical creatures of the deep oceans and flowing tidal waters. Both sexes are traditionally seen as being incredibly attractive, the mermen being strong and handsome with muscled torsos and clean shaven faces, and the mermaids being both beautiful and graceful, with long flowing hair and sweet, soft voices. Always portrayed as gentle and kind, merfolk are seen as benevolent helpers who come to the aid of swimmers who find themselves in difficulties or who may be drowning.
Selkie:
The Seal/human spirits they are able to transform from seal to human by shedding their seal skin, and then revert again by putting their Selkie skin back on.
Stories about Selkies tend to be tradgedies. They are only able to make contact with one particular human for a short amount of time before they must return to the sea. They are not able to make contact with that human again for seven years, unless the human steals their selkie's skin and hides it or burns it.
NATURE
~~~~~~~
Nature Spirits Include
Faeries:
No explanation is really necessary I don't think but....These ethereal, flower dwelling, peace loving, mischievous, dancing, singing sprites (sprite definition, mystical imaginary creature, fairy, elf or nymph) are small winged beings who aid magical workings and, it is said, kidnap unsuspecting humans (especially children) who step into their Faerie rings unawares. Hence the phrase away with the Faries.
Sidhe:
In Irish folklore the aes sídhe, (pronounced "ess shee"), are a powerful, supernatural race. Believed to live underground in the fairy mounds, in an invisible world that coexists with the world of humans, these "people of the mounds" are referred to in Irish as the daoine sídhe ("deena shee") and are considered to be the ancestors, the spirits of nature, the goddesses and gods themselves.
The best known of all the Sidhe is the bean sídhe or Banshee, which although the name simply means "woman of the sídhe", has come to specifically indicate the supernatural women of Ireland who announce an oncoming death by their wailing and keening.

EARTH
~~~~~~
Earth Spirits are split into several sub-groups
Forest Spirits
~~~~~~~~~~
Pixies:
A highly mischievous creature the Pixie is said to enjoy playing tricks on people, they are known to love stealing belongings, throwing things at people or leading people astray. Their thieving exploits are often said to extend to horse rustling, though they always return them by morning, often with only a tangled mane as evidence of their adventures. Like many Weres, Pixies are highly allergic to Silver, it burns their skin and can kill them if it gets into their blood. Some families leave gifts of plates of food or bowls of milk for them, in an effort to please them and gain their favour.
Leprechauns:
A type of male faerie said to have inhabited Ireland before the Celts arrived. Usually taking on the appearance of old men, dressed in green they are said to be excellent cobblers, very mischievous, very rich, very cunning and very slippery characters. As long as you hold them in your gaze they cannot escape, but let your eyes drop even for a second and they vanish.
Brownies:
Brownies are the helpful spirits said to inhabit houses and aid in tasks around the house. They do not like to be seen and so usually work at night while the rest of the household sleeps. Their work is usually exchanged for small gifts or food. Lovers of good porridge they usually abandon a house if these gifts are reffered to as payments, or if they are unappreciated or misused. Also known as the guardians of dragons, Brownies make their homes in an unused part of the house, keeping to themselves their kind turns are done without thought of fee or reward, indeed to offer any would banish them forever. Kind treatment is all they ever wish for, and all that is needed to gain their favour.
Gnomes:
Often resembling a gnarled old man, the Gnome, whose name translates as closely as possible as "earth-dweller", is a creature best known for its extremely small size and their love of living deep underground. They are said to have big feet, and smoke pipes and are usually considered to be the main guardians for buried treasure.
Will'o'wisps: This name refers to the floating, flame-like lights sometimes seen at night or twilight — often over bogs or marshland. Looking just like a flickering lamp, they are often called spooklights or ghost lights and are said to recede if approached.
Gremlins:
Originating in myths among airmen who claimed to have seen unidentified creatures sabotaging aircraft they are commonly seen as mischievous and almost always mechanically minded. Their interferance is usually malevolent, ultimately distructive and always unwanted.
Boggarts:
Always malevolent, the boggart is a household spirit which causes things to disappear, turns milk sour, pulls hair and ears and breaks peoples possessions. If it's chosen family tries to flee it will follow them wherever they go. A Boggart should never be given a name, for then it would be impossible to control and would quickly become unreasonable and destructive.It is believed in some folklore that a Boggart is what a Brownie turns into if you anger it enough....
And of course there are Elves too:
Elves were originally a race associated with nature and fertility said to dwell in forests, underground places and caves, or in wells and springs. Long-lived beings, some of whom posess great magical powers, they are often mistakenly thought to be immortal because of their seemingly endless youth and great beauty.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mountain Spirits
~~~~~~~~~~~
Goblins:
Generally considered an evil, crabby creature they have no homes, being mainly nomadic they will dwell temporarily in mossy cracks in rocks and tree roots and are often described as a grotesquely disfigured.
Spriggans:
Said to be grotesquely ugly, Spriggans are found at old ruins and long barrows. They are the guardians of the fae, spending thier time guarding buried treasure and performing the duties of a bodyguard. Though usually small, they had the ability to swell to enormous size, and were also said to be busy and successful thieves.
Of a poor disposition they caused mischief to those who offended them, sending storms to blight crops, and sometimes stealing away mortal children, leaving their ugly changelings in their place.
Dwarfs:
Considered much like humans in many ways these creature prefer to live underground or in hilly/mountainous areas.They spend their spare time accumulating treasure in the shape of gold silver and precious stones, and making the finest jewellery, and weapons of unrivalled beauty and magical power, including Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor. Slow runners and very poor horsemen, Dwarves are stocky and incredibly strong. They are accomplished warriors and fierce in battle.
Trolls:
A fearsome member of a race of beings ranging in size from fiendish giants to devious, more human sized folk of the wilderness, living underground in hills or caves.

I love this post Elvin
I recognise a lot of the names and know some of whats here already but I am fascinated by the rest of the beings.
There are one or two that I get the distinct feeling I have met along the way too.
It's nice to know a bit more about them.

Thanks for filling in some of the blanks.
