Where is the Darke place, in the valley with trees on one side and a river running through it?
There is a small rocky outcrop above the tree line and a mountain behind it.
It is always Dusk or Dawn but I can't tell which, and it is always drizzling. There is the smell of burning, a haze of smoke drifting across the tops of the trees, and a light mist on the ground.
The ground is grassy and soft and slightly muddy and it is cold. So very cold.
Everything is grey, the trees, the sky, the ground. And there is NO SOUND and not a breath of air to move the stillness.

It is eerie and spooky, and I don't like it there.

Anyone else know where this is, and what I have either just missed, or what is just about to happen

Do you feel like this is a real place on this plane or are you thinking that it might be otherworldly?

It sounds like a battlefield to me.
If you listen can you hear anything?
Shuffling hooves, tramping feet, coughing, sniffing, shouts, sounds of battle.
Can you smell anything, horses, gun powder, ozone, burning, sweat, blood?
Do you see anyone else, or anything living, animals, birds?
Do you have any inkling of what time of year it might be?
I'm sorry for the third degree, but this sounds familiar to me and I don't want to put too many of my words into your head, your mouth or your fingers. I would rather hear your details than my own reflected back at me.

Could it be something to do with the 'whatever is coming' feelings everyone seems to be getting just lately?

I find it a familiar place too.
But I also have the impression that it might be a real place either here in Wales or in the Lake district.
Are there any buildings around that you can describe?

If it helps any the mist and drizzle tell me that it is probably early morning (ground mist like that happens just before sunset and just before, during and after dawn but the drizzle happens more often in the morning) and more often in Autumn than other times.

I think you might be right Zygo there is an early morning, hushed, 'to come' feeling about the whole thing.

I also think it is a 'real' place. I have the feeling this is a past time rather than a time to come.
I think I am reliving part of our history rather than having visions of the future.

I will see if I can get any of the answers to your questions Lady C.
Right now I'm not sure about any of that, but I'll check it out.

War?? What??

A change is coming..............
You can smell it in the air and feel it in the earth. You can hear it in the whisper of the trees.
There is a great disturbance coming.
Some believe this disturbance will be a war. A great war. A battle to end all battles.
Some believe that the war will be kin against human, others believe that it will be a war kin against kin.
Still others believe that the change is the Fallen finally re-connecting to the source.
The Mayans believed that the change would be the end of the world in 2012.... But they did not say what would cause this end.
There are so many theories and no-one group can agree with any other group.
The only thing they all agree on is that:
A change is coming............

I believe I have been there Darke.

If you look behind the stand of trees where the smoke is coming from there is a small encampment. Three or four tents, with a fire in the middle and several horses tied in a makeshift coral.
Please look, if you find them there I have been there too.

This might sound odd, but it feels like both Lady C.
I think the place is real, but the time is otherworldly.
I get the feeling that whatever this is about has not happened yet here.

I can hear the faint sound of movement, which I do think might be horses Jardinn. But I have only just seen your post so haven't had time to hunt them out yet.
No coughing or other signs of life at all, and definitely no birdsong.
I think it is late Autumn, there are no leaves on the trees, but there are no buds either, and it smells like Autumn.
Other than that Autumn scent I can't smell anything except smoke, but even that is only a slight smell and it's not always there, it drifts with the slight breeze, and hangs on the water drops of the drizzle.
I will check out the area behind the stand of trees when I can Jardinn, but I am still very new at this and haven't tried to direct my movements yet.
I will do my best, and report back when I have more intel...He he I feel like a spy!
