According to most texts, Angels eat "mana" which translates roughly to "What is this." this of course gives us no idea as to what mana is, however we also know it was written that the same mana was fed to Jesus by Angels during his 40 days in the Desert.

As far as kin type, I am not energy deficient in any way that I am aware of and exhibit no signs of energetic vampirism. Standard food stuffs that support my body are all that is needed.

Actually when I said you could post it anywhere you thought appropriate I meant anywhere else, that you thought was appropriate, since the greetings thread is not an appropriate place to discuss anything else.
Obviously I should have made my meaning more clear for you, then you would not have misunderstood.
Ahh well. Perhaps one of the Moderators would be good enough to move this particular section of this thread?

I am fairly certain I would not want to eat anything called 'what is this'. Though that was a very popular phrase heard all over the dining hall of the school I attended, at any and every lunchtime. otherkin/lol.gif
I think you're fortunate not to have an energy deficiency of any kind, that's quite unusual for kin from what I've heard and read.

and why should a greetings thread be an appropriate place to also ask questions and receive answers?

"mana," meaning "what is this" is a word given by man, just because mankind did not know what it was does not mean it is unappetizing, just a statement that man didn't understand it.

As far as energy deficiencies, I have found that it is not as common as people think that Otherkin and Vampire are synonymous.

I do not recall seeing you at my old school Faith, but the same thing was said about several of the meals served there too. smile.gif
'Mystery meat' seems to be a popular choice for many a school dinner menu.

As for the substance Terro describes as being eaten by Angels, the dictionary has this to say:
MANA - 1. A supernatural force believed to dwell in a person or sacred object.
MANA - 2. Power; authority.
This online page says tons of stuff, but nothing about Angels.

However MANNA brings up
MANNA - 1. manna from heaven - (Old Testament) food that God gave the Israelites during the Exodus.
MANNA - 2. Spiritual nourishment of divine origin. Which can be utilised by all who hunger spiritually.
MANNA - 3. A sweet granular substance excreted on the leaves of plants by certain insects, especially aphids, and often harvested by ants.
This online page particularly has a lot of interesting information on it.
At least I found it very interesting. I hope some of you find it interesting too.

Isn't it amazing how one little letter could make such a difference?

Thanks for those links Moon. The second page was wonderful. I'm not sure I wanted to find out what Manna actually probably is though. I mean insect excretions don't sound very appetising even if they are thought of as a delicacy by the local people.
I think I'd have preferred to stick to 'what is this', though of course if the description of the definition of Manna is correct as it says here in this link even that's not right is it? As it really means 'this is plant lice'. Hmmmm yummy.

The first page I would really like to thank you for. It told me a little about the beliefs of the Polynesian peoples, and I'd really like to find out more about that so I'm off to Google some more sites and read up.
Yay for education. otherkin/lol.gif

Oh I did a ton of research into Pele last summer, over the holidays while I was feeling bored. They have some really interesting Gods and myths in the Polynesian and Hawaiian Islands.

Plant Lice?? Is that like Greenfly and Whitefly and stuff that give off honeydew? And if it is, does that mean that manna is the honeydew? Because that stuff smells really sweet so I can understand why it would be a delicacy, because anything naturally sweet usually is isn't it?
