There are times when all of us feel the staleness of a life that is the same day after day. We are unable to connect to that hushed stillness that lives in the heart of every one of us. Our lives are stuck in a rut, and we feel run down, tired and lethargic. The senses we have cry out for a fresh breeze to blow all our cobwebs away, we long to take a step outside our lives and get a breath of fresh air.
This might mean stepping outside physically, going to a place of peace and quiet where the soft winds blow, or merely shifting our thoughts and imagining the fields of flowers and the trees rustling. In either case the air remains the same only the way we see it, feel it and experience it changes.
Using this idea, closing our eyes and taking a deep breath can bring us a sweet feeling of freedom and exhilaration. Breathing in we fill our lungs with oxygen, letting the air circulate within us, clearing the cobwebs from the dark corners and helping us renew our energy levels and our enthusiasm for life and all that lies ahead. Along with the air, we fill our energy centers with clean new energy, bringing possitive thoughts and feelings and a new determination to right the things that are going wrong.
Exhaling brings a feeling of relief as the possitive thoughts clear away blocks that may keep us from finding the stillness that lies at our center, and we release these along with the stale, used air. The clearing of these blocks re-opens connections to lost parts of ourselves, helps restore vitality to our systems, cleanses our spirit and brings fresh hope for a future that whilst exactly the same one as before, somehow seems brighter and more full of possibilities. Not because we have changed the life, but because we have changed the way we are viewing it.
The air always remains the same, but hope and a possitive outlook can make it taste much sweeter.
So, if life is not going right for you right now, take a deep breath before moving on. It might make more of a difference than you imagine.
I am doing visualisation exercises to help improve my skills in this area.
I am hoping that with practise I could become quite good at visualisation and all the benefits it brings.
I love the way you have described this topic. I could almost feel the breeze lifting me out of my yucky existence, dusting me off and putting me back down again all shiny and new.

Thankyou.
Rosa.
