If there was one book that you have read, or are reading now, that you could recommend as a holiday read, for all those lazy summer days sunbathing, or avoiding the sun by staying indoors!
What would it be?

I am reading Billy by Pamela Stephenson and it is really good.
It's not too heavy, but it is very insightful and funny too.
They sound like difficult but very fun parents to have.

I'm looking forward to hearing what kinds of books the rest of you like to read. smile.gif

I recently read the following:

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, which was awesome.
The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyers, which *owns* the final book comes out August 2 so get reading!
I'm also re-reading Good Omens by Neil Gaimen and Terry Pratchet which is amazingly amusing and all the rest. I highly recommend it.

Byakko, I too am waiting for Breaking Dawn, but I would like to point out that it isn't the final book. Stephanie Meyers has said that she has been working on another book called Midnight Sun between the twilight series books. Midnight Sun is supposed to be Twilight from Edward's point of view.(Good information on Midnight Sun found here: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsun.html)

She has also already released the first chapter of Midnight Sun on the above mentioned website, and it looks really good. I am definitely excited to read it when it finally comes out.

For now though, I will be content with rushing to get my own personal copy of Breaking Dawn here in like 2 days.

I also recommend the Twilight books for anyone looking for a good saga.

P.S. Here is a link to chapter one of Midnight sun. http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/midnightsun_chapter1.pdf Enjoy

I had heard that! I didn't think it was so much new storyline as a new perspective, still can't wait for that one as well.

I am reading a book called
Wild Magic, by Tamora Pierce.

It is aimed at a younger audience, sort of teens, but it's very good, and I am looking forward to reading the others. (She wrote four in all.)

Here is a link to info about it on Wikipedia.
