Sirius is 8 light years from Earth.
and did you know that Sirius is actually 2 stars in a rather odd egg shaped orbit.

How could someone possibly have hiccups for 68 years? That seems a bit extreme. If it did happen, it would probably be the biggest shock of their life when they finally stopped happening.

haha yeah they stopped for no reason in 1990, i think he died like a year after that.
