Story Game

Well I wish you'd remember I'm under here when you do!' Tommy growled. Pushing Darkness playfully aside he sprang to his feet and, brushing himself down, said.
'What have you done with Katie? I thought she was with you tonight?'
'She was.' Darkness reached over and plucked a strand of grass from behind Tommy's ear. 'She got a call from Victor and left to meet him at the clubhouse.'
She wiggled the grass on the end of his nose. 'I told her we'd meet her there.'
'Stop that you know it makes me sneeze.' Tommy snatched the grass from Darkness's hand and threw it into the shadows. 'Why do you have to torment me all the time, you're worse than a flea I can't catch!'
'Ugh..did you have to say flea?' A shudder went through her at the thought of them.
'Sorry' Tommy said, then 'Do we have to go to the club tonight? I'm not in the mood for crowds.'
'Me either, but Katie said Victor asked for all of us.' Darkness felt Tommy smile.
You think it's a job maybe?' He asked, eagerness and anticipation evident in his voice.
'Maybe.' Said Darkness, pulling Tommy back towards town. 'But we'll never find out if we don't go.'.................................

Running across the fields they headed for the lights they could see reflected in the blackness of the sky way off in the distance. They ran in a companionable silence, covering the ground quickly and easily, and arrived on the outskirts of the town in no time.
As though invisible they silently slipped from shadow to shadow, avoiding the pockets of human teenagers who clung like limpets to the pools of light cast by the street lamps, as if afraid of what might await them in the dark.
Cat and mouse was one of their favourite games, who could sneak past the teens, and get closest, without being seen, but there was no time for that tonight.
They moved as one to the alley behind the clubhouse, and picking their way through the litter walked up to the rear entrance. Reserved for 'special' visitors, and the garbage men, this entrance opened into a small corridor that led, to the left, up to the bar, the dance floor and the other public areas, and to the right, to a set of narrow dark stairs. Up the stairs could be found Victor's private quarters. No-one went there uninvited, not if they were smart.
As they reached the top of the stairs the two friends could hear Katie speaking in a loud and heated voice...
"I don't care HOW much it pays, I've told you before we don't do this kind of job.".....................

I dont mind any of u adding on to it.

The opend the door slowly and saw Katie and Victor. Katie Looked furious and had a little bit of sweat on her face."Please reconsider i am sure you will find this job not to bad" said Victor in a quite calm tone."NO WE WILL NOT DO THIS NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU ASK" Katie roared back. Victor reeled from that but still persisted on her taking the job.They didnt even notice that Wolfy,Darkness,and Tommy had entered the room."Ummm what is this jon exactly?" asked Tommy
Both of them looked over at the three over at the door."They want us..." and she was interupted by Victor saying"The job is i want you to kill the Leader of a Gang"...... now some1 else may continue it

Katie snarled at him with her hands on her hips, all attitude. "Don't interrupt me, Vic. And if you have problems with the stupid humans you can deal with them your own damn self! We're not the clean up crew for you-"
"Actually you are." Victor interrupted again.
Katie growled and swiped a hand out at him half heartedly. Victor dodged backward quick enough to avoid her sharp nails. "Stop being a pest! You may give us jobs but you don't own us, Victor. We aren't pets and we aren't murderers. We do what needs to be done for the protection of whats ours, but we don't kill just 'cause."
"What exactly do you want Victor?" Darkness asked.
"The White Hand has begun harassing both human and kin to a point that we can no longer ignore." Tommy and Darkness both gasped at the name of the gang. The White Hand used to be a lesser gang, dealing in low grade drugs and fights. That is, until a new White Hand leader came into power. Now they were a power to be reckoned with, and crazy to boot.
Katie scoffed and flipped her long brown hair behind her. "What he means is the White Hand's leader, Ky, is trying to set up shop in Vic's club. Vic here tried to tell him off, by throwing the insane maniac out of the club, which of course pissed him off and caused him to respond by robbing Vic and setting up shop anyway." She looked at Vic with a bored expression. "We aren't your servants. Clean up your own mess. It's your own fault that you decided to play 'Who's is bigger' with a lunatic that not only has his own personal army but his own personal arsenal as well."

Darkness felt her interest peak for the first time in the whole situation as she heard Victor's heartbeat elevate slightly, and she smelt his sweat break out on his skin. He was behaving like a man who thought he sensed triumph almost within his grasp. Most intriguing....Darkness looked at Tommy. He had noticed the strange signs too. With a questioning look at each other they awaited developments.
Victor's eye took on an evil glint as he turned slowly to face Katie. "Scared sweet Katie?" He asked.
"Of what?" Katie demanded.
"Oh I don't know. Maybe you're afraid to go up against him." Victor moved in for the kill. "Maybe you're afraid he'll beat you and then take over in your territory too?"
Lulled by his sense of triumph, Victor didn't even see her coming. Katie had him pinned against the office wall 4 inches from his threadbare carpet before he could draw enough breath to say anything more.
"I should kill you for that." Katie snarled.
"But you won't!" Victor was confident in his victory.
"No, I won't. I'll let Ky have that pleasure." She let loose her grip and he crumpled to the floor. "Goodbye Victor, and good luck. You're going to need it."
Katie turned to her companions. "Are you coming?" She asked them.

"How much?" said Tommy
"Tommy no......" Hissed Dakness.
Tommy winked at Darkness, and then turned back to Victor and repeated his question. "How much?"
Victor stared at Tommy, then shifted slightly so that when he spoke his answer was to Katie. "$75,000, whether you kill him or just make him leave for good. $120,000 if you bring back proof that he's dead."
Tommy smiled "$200,000 for proof and you have a deal."
Victor looked to Katie for confirmation. Katie looked first at Darkness and finally at Tommy."You're out of your mind."
"We can do this. You know we can." Tommy said.
"I know we can, I just don't think we should." Katie said quietly. "What do you think Darkness? You're involved too."
Darkness considered her answer carefully."I think if there's any chance that he'll come after us when he's done with Victor, and I think he will, then we have no choice. We have to take Ky out now.
Victor's smile was triumphant. "I knew you'd see things my way." He said, carefully picking himself up off the floor.
Katie snarled at him and he sat down again. " Just so you know, if anything goes wrong Victor, you'll be next."
The door slammed and she was gone.

Darkness and Wolfy spared him a withering glance before following after their friend. They had to almost run to keep up with her despite her tiny size. Katie finally stopped once they left the club and the door clanged shut behind them. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath of the night air.
As she exhaled Darkness moved up beside her. "What was that all about?"
Katie sighed and ran a tired hand across her face. "This is stupid. He's treating us like we're his goons."
"But we are sort of his goons." Tommy replied.
Katie snarled and glared at Tommy. "No we aren't! We have assisted in cleaning up his messes when it was beneficial to us and paid well! When his idiocies have endangered our pack we have been his enforcers, but no more! We are not pets. We are not humans. If it doesn't concern us we don't have to fight their battle. I can't stand to allow us to be brought down any further by that...that...moron!" she waved enthusiastically towards the door.
Darkness shook her head. "No, I meant what's with the aggression? You're usually more cool headed about these things. That's why you're the one we picked to be the middlekin between us and everyone else."
Katie sighed again and slumped her shoulders. "I'm sorry, guys. That guy, he just...grrr!" Katie fisted her hands then strangled the air. "Arrg! and i wanna just grrrrr." she shook her hands then threw the invisible strangled thing to the ground and stomped on it. Darkness and Wolfy shared a look.
"Okaaay..." Darkness said carefully. "Why don't we get you a burger. Would you like that? Get some meat into you?" Katie smiled and her face lit up, all traces of minor insanity vanishing at the prospect of meat.
"Oooh! Can we? Really?"
Darkness laughed. "Yes. Especially with about 200k coming our way."
They began walking away, careful to remain in the shadows as Katie scoffed. "We should've asked for more. He would've coughed it up."
Tommy shrugged. "At least we're getting paid. If we had finished where you wanted to, Victor would be dead, Ky at our doorstep and we'd be having to do this anyway only for free."
Katie pouted. "Still should've made that jerk pay through the nose. We should just let Ky eat 'im up and spit 'im out. Serves him right the little twit."

They arrived at the base and grabbed there weapons for the battle."Show we pack light or heavy?" asked Tommy."We'll Pack Light and you will pack heavy as are back up" aswered Katie."Ok,Wolfy why do you carry around that butter knife" Tommy said in a teasing voice as he saw Wolfy put his sword sheath into his belt."I carry it because this is all i need." replied Wolfy."Sure if you meet some one good with a gun he will take you down quickly." Said Tommy. "If you think so take out you gun and fire a bullet right at my head." said Wolfy."Ok if you insist." Tommy said as the others smiled as he was seeming cocky.He pulled the trigger and the bulet went flying out. Wolfy unsheathed his sword so fast you didnt see it and after it was all over there was a bullet laying in two pieces on the floor."Now if you still think that i will show you more but if you good lets leave." Said Wolfy laughing a bit. Tommy was barely able to get words out buts was able to say "no iiii'm good."They all left the building and started walking towards the White Hands Hideout in the shadows

There was a chill in the air and rain fell as a gentle mist that dampened everything without even seeming to touch it.
They were walking in single file around the outer perimeter of the town. As they neared the abandoned airfield where the White Hand had it's headquarters they automatically tuned into every noise. Every move that was made by anything was heard, identified, catalogued and distances measured before being dismissed. They moved like the mist that now gathered much more thickly around them, silent and slow the swirling moved around them making them appear ethereal and masking their true position in a very helpful way.
They halted just beyond the hearing of the occupants of the building.
"Well," Katie said. "How many of them are there?"
Wolfie turned his head this way and that and sniffed the air in quick short bursts. "Six male, three female. One of them is Ky, he's upstairs with one of the females."
"They have guns." Said Tommy. "Lots of them."
"Yes." Darkness said. "That's not news though is it? We knew they would have. Anyway, they can only fire one at a time can't they?"
"OK Wolfie, you're the tactician, who goes where?" Katie looked at the younger man. He faced her without fear or hesitation and said.........

"We've handled these fools before, when Ky wasn't in power. The only thing that gives them any strength is him. We need to take out Ky, and the rest will be cake walk. We'll send two after him and his girl and two for the other ones." He looked at his friends with a frown. "I'd like to go after him myself, but I'm not as good as travelling through the shadows as you two girls. You think you guys can handle him?" They had all heard the rumors about Ky, his insanity and ruthlessness, but he was especially cruel to women. Both Katie and Darkness smirked evilly, their excitement at the challenge extending their teeth a bit so a fang peeked out for affect.
"Booya, we're up for it!" Katie exclaimed.
Darkness nodded. "We can finally get back at that crazy fool for all the girls he's hurt."
Wolfy nodded. "Ok, then me and Tommy will take out the rest."
Tommy chuckled. "Seven against two? How unfair, for them. Maybe we should take a handicap so this doesn't go too quickly?"
Wolfy laughed, "I'd just prefer to wipe 'em all out." He turned to the girls. "Ready?"
They nodded. They all lined up side by side, adrenaline shooting through their veins.
Katie grinned. "Let's go."

katie and darkness turned and slipped into the mist. The only sign they had been there, the mist folding back into the gap they left behind.
Wolfie moved forward dipping slightly and loped off towards the right side of the conning tower, As Wolfy melded into the ground fog Tommy moved quickly but quietly towards the front entrance of the complex.

Wolfy caught the phantom movement of Darkness jumping up and running across the roof above, so he knew Katie would be at the back of the building. Even though he couldn't hear either cats movements there was a scent of leather lying under the mist that told him which direction they had both taken.
Tommy checked the door, arrogant in their assumed safety the gang members had left the door unlocked and unguarded,Tommy smiled to himself but was inwardly dissappointed at the lack of immediate action.

Katie scaled the drainpipe easily and sat back on some wiring conduits next to an open window, listening to the occupants talk.She waited a second then looking over the window sill saw Darkness at the other window.
Their eyes met and secretly communicated that it was time.

Wolfy pushed his door, it was unlocked but heavy chains rattled on the otherside holding the door loosely closed. Instantly alert wolfy listened to a set of light male footfalls heading towards the door.there was a smell of fear in the air and wolfie scowled silently reprimanding the lump who hadn't sent out a warning to the others "amateur" he said to himself
As decision time approached he waited until the man was on the other side and obviously trying to see if anyone had touched the door to strike.

The door splintered and crashed several feet forwards taking the frame out of the wall and landing heavily on the unfortunate young man inside.Wolfy stomped on it just to make sure but knew the man wouldn't get up.

Darkness, Katie and Tommy, sensing the need to move just before the noise broke, sprang into action attacking from all sides and causing total pandemonium.
The white hand was utterly unprepared for their attack..............

As the sound of the collapsing door downstairs crashed in on the 'party' Ky was having upstairs he shook himself to full alertness, and then realised he was too late.
He looked across the room and his eyes clashed with a pair of angry deep amber ones, and then his chest was pinned and all he could see was a pair of deep blue pools storming their hate at him. Darkness pushed him down into the bed and leaned over him so she could look deep into his eyes.
Eyes were her passion and she never missed an opportunity for a new experience.
What she saw there surprised her. There was shock, anger, disbelief and caution, yes she'd expected those, but there was also warmth and humour. That was unexpected to say the least.
She looked up to meet Katie's quizical gaze and when she looked down again there was definite enjoyment in Ky's eyes.
The noise coming from downstairs was considerable and Katie said "have you got him under control?" She sounded doubtful. "I want to go see what the boys are up to."
"You go.....We're fine." There was definitely amusement in Ky's voice as he spoke to Katie.
"Darkness...." Katie was not amused Darkness could tell.
"Yes, he's not going anywhere."
"What about the female?" Katie asked. Glancing around she could see no sign of her anywhere.
Darkness smiled and said "She's under the bed, I can hear her breathing. Lock her in the bathroom, there are bars on the windows so she should be secure in there."
"Right." Katie slid her arm under the bed, grabbed the girl by the foot and hauled her out, pink, naked and screaming... "I wasn't going to kill you," Katie snarled, "but if you don't shut up I promise you I will reconsider."
The silence that followed that statement was almost deafening. Shattered by the snap of the lock on the bathroom door and Katies parting shot.."One more sound and you'll be seeing me again!"
The bedroom door swished open and closed almost silently behind her.
"Now that we're alone, would you like formal introductions or...." Ky let the rest of his sentence hang in mid air as he smiled up at Darkness.
"I don't think introductions are necessary." Darkness said softly. "You're a drug smuggling, gun running, kin murdering, son of a ........ And I'm here to kill you."
"Well if you're going to try and kill me, I would like to say a couple of things first. If you don't mind that is?" Ky was so polite and civilised.
Darkness was intrigued by this turn of events. This was not how tonight was supposed to go. "Go ahead, we have a few minutes before Katie returns and I have nothing better to do."
"Firstly I do not smuggle drugs or run guns, and secondly, I have never killed anyone who did not try to kill me first. I don't know where you are getting your information, but it's seriously flawed."
This was not what she expected and Darkness was at a complete loss. Desperately she tried to recall what she'd heard about Ky from anyone other than Victor. She came up with nothing but vague rumours and unfounded accustations.
As Katie entered the room once again Ky looked urgently into her eyes and the frankness and honesty she saw there made her gasp.
"Think about it, who would profit if I was no longer here? Who would gain the most from my death?"
The two girls stared at Ky, their senses tuned into him and they both tasted the scent of his sweat in the air. He couldn't be telling the truth, he couldn't be, if he was that meant, as they looked at each other the same thought occured to them both simultaneously..........................
"Victor." They both said together.
Katie's tail swished angrily. "That b*****d, I don't believe it. Yes I do, I should always know better than to trust a human. I'll tear his heart out, mince it and have it for my dinner!"
Darkness clambered off Ky and held out her hand to help him up.
As he grasped her hand, he smiled into her eyes and said, "Strange as it may sound right now, it's a pleasure to meet you."

They didnt hear his sentence as they were already almost down stairs.Darkness ness went up to wolfy and grabbed him by the scruff of his fur."ow ow ow whats going on darkness?" he asked being dragged along."Victor tricked us now were going to kill him" she said still dragging him."Ok sound fun but you can let go of my fur now" he said trying to get lose of her strong grip."Sorry come one we have to hurry Victor could be closing the club soon" Darkness said and let go of his fur."Katie are you ok?" asked Tommy."Yes i am fine i am just angry being tricked by a human now lets dash there remember stay in the shadows." Kaite said starting to run. They all started running to the foggy shadows then they dashed.They arrived at the club in only a club of mins.This time Wolfy didnt bother to tell people were to go he just kick in the door.The door went flying off almodt hitting a waitress ,and they all walked in going towards the steps."You have to leave" the security guard said.But he was pushed aside by Kaite."Becareful everyone victor maybe human but he is strong" kaite said reminding them as they walked up the stairs
