Employees of Victor squealed or grunted as the group pushed their way up to the office. When they got to the top they heard Victor's voice just underneath all the dismayed workers. He was in his office at the end of the hall talking to someone. His voice was dim, but they heard him clear enough.
"-and they're over there right now! I mean, am I brilliant or am I brilliant?"
"Actually I think you're quite stupid." Came a younger man's voice.
Victor scoffed. "It's not like they'll figure it out. They'll just go in, get the job done, and they'll never know that Ky was actually turning that gang into something respectable and working on cleaning up these streets in a legitimate way. I mean, who's going to tell them?"
Katie burst through the door, in just a moment taking in Victor leaning on his desk with a satisfied smirk and the handsome young man that lounged, looking annoyed, in the chair before him, before taking a few quick strides to Victor where she picked him up by his neck and dangled him a few feet from the ground.
"I believe you just told us, Victor." She smiled wickedly. "You've betrayed us, Victor." She chuckled lowly in a way that was almost a growl. "Now we get to have some fun..."

Katie Threw Victor to the wall and there was aloud crack as the wooden boards broke."Please I didnt want this to happen" Victor said trying to call of the attack."Its to bad you know what would happen if we figured it out" Katie snarled picking him back up.She then swiftly kneed him in the stomach knocking out his breath.He tried gasping for air for Katie wouldnt let him she grabed his arm and twisted it around.With a quick movement she snaped his arm causing him to scream in pain."Wolfie you finish this" kaite said walking away from victor."Yes katie" Wolfie said and drew his sword.He stepped over victor and thrusted his sword into his heart killing him."Now lets go" Darkness Said.They All walked down the stair and out the door

The young man who had been in the office when the four came in stared at the carnage in shock before chasing after the retreating kin.
"Wait a damn minute!" he cried after their retreating backs. He took in the frightened girls who had worked for Victor cowering against the walls and shook his head. He raced down the stairs and met up with the small group.
"What, human?" Darkness purred. "Do you wish to follow the same path as your friend up there?"
The man raised his lip in disgust. "No, in fact I came here to thank you. That man was despicable."
"Of course he was." whispered Katie as she stalked to the man. "He was a gang leader, a pimp, and a drug smuggling idiot. And you were an acquaintance of his." She wiped some of Victor's blood splatter off of his cheek. "What kind of man are you?"
The human's eyes flicked between Katie and the people behind her nervously. The one with the sword was smiling in anticipation while the other two grinned as they cracked their knuckles. "I'm an honest man."
They heard his heart stutter and smelled the sweat on his skin. "Hmm, then why don't you speak honestly, human? You're telling half truths."
He frowned and glared into the tiny girl's blue-green eyes. "Fine, I'm an honest thug for hire with dreams of grandeur. I just became Victor's second in command since the last one had a nasty accident with the wrong end of a knife."
Tommy chuckled. "That was a fun night."
The other three snickered before Katie turned her attention back on the human. "What's your name?"
"Jake."
A smile split across her face. "Well met, Jake. I am Katie, this is Darkness, Wolfy and Tommy. And since you are now the leader of Victor's pack, whatever he finally decided to call it, I hope that we can do honest business."
Jake nodded a little to rapidly. "It would be a pleasure."
An evil smirk graced her lips as she pressed herself close to him, standing on tip toe so she could bring her lips to his ear. "But if you ever betray us as your predecessor did," she chuckled, "We won't be so lenient." She was already walking away before he could respond. Tommy nodded farewell, Wolfy waved and Darkness gave him a saucy wink before they all stalked their way out of the club and into the night.

"So how do you want to deal with the team that visited earlier"

"I think deal with them is an unfortunate phrase Hawke, even you have to admit we were no match for two of them, and there were more downstairs.
Did you see that door?"
Ky was quite admirous of the ease that the two girls had entering his place.
Neither he nor Hawke had any idea they were there until it was too late.
As they left he had scrabbled about trying not to look flustered but he knew that his honesty had been the only thing that saved him.

He also knew from the unfortunate mess they had picked out from under the side door that he was ill prepared for anything that either Katie and Darkness or the others could could throw at him. It was all too apparent that his members were pretty useless even in human terms.
He vowed to himself that he would never be that complacent again.

"Hawke" Ky sounded angrier than he had intended
"Yes"
"We need to shape up. I am sure we can trust them but next time I want to know long before I have a claw to my throat that they are here."
The huge figure started to move.

"Hawke" Ky carried on
"You had better be on the level, this is a new venture and I won't have any of the old ways crawling out from any rocks.................do you hear me.
It will reflect badly on you if anything tarnishes what I am trying to do"
"Understood" Hawke melted into the shadows

"You think that new guy will be better then victor?" tommy asked."Like we told him he better be or he will end up just like victor" Darkness replied."What do we do now I mean we didnt get payed for this" Wolfie said putting his sword away."We will just wait untill Jake gets that place running and we get called" Kaite replied laying down on the couch."Alright well if you guess dont mind i am going out to train" Wolfie said. "Again? you always are training" Tommy replied watching the tv."Yea it come in help you could do it sometime" Wolfie said with a laugh."Ok fine I will go with you this time" Tommy said getting up off the couch."Ok lets go" Wolfie replied and they both walked out of the door into the foggy night

Katie and Darkness looked at each other as the boys left............
Guilt surrounded them like a damp, uncomfortable blanket.
Their apparent fragility and air of delicate femininity had often helped the girls take their foes completely by surprise, making the fight brief and laughably easy as most opponents dismissed their potential to do serious damage, underestimating them and often not living to regret such foolishness.
Of course training was an excellent suggestion, keeping on top of their fitness and stamina, had saved their lives, and each other's, time and again.

"What should we do now?" Darkness asked.
Katie looked up from her comfy spot on the couch and said......."Oh, I don't know.....We should get a half hour in on the weights I suppose........" But she didn't sound convinced.
They looked at each other and, their eyes sparkled as their gazes clashed with the same brilliant idea.....
As one, they shouted excitedly. "PIZZA!!!!!!!"
And Katie reached for the phone.

They ordered to larges for when the boys got back."This is going to be good" Said Darkness licking her lips."Yea I know hopefully the pizza guy is late so free pizza" replied Katie with a smile.They both watched the clock the pizza placed said they be there in 30 mins or less.They watch thr hand stick to the 6:29 mark "Its almost there" said Darkness."Yea come on time" said Katie. The hand reached the 12 making it officaly 6:30."YAY FREE PIZZA!!" They both shouted.

As the girls sat eating pizza and watching a mindless gameshow on the TV two things were uppermost in their minds, when would the boys be back and would there be any pizza left by then?
They were just discussing whether or not to order pizza again just to be safe when their attention was caught by a slight sound from upstairs, then another out on the landing.
"What the?" Darkness exclaimed.
" I heard it too." Katie said. "You check upstairs I'll check the front.."
As they turned, there was a loud bang, the door bounced off it's hinges and a huge gust of wind blew down the stairs and right through the room.
A swirl of smoke drifted in behind the wind, and gathered in front of the girls, slowly forming into the shapes of creatures who looked human, but who from their entrance and the feelings Katie was picking up on certainly were not. She glanced at Darkness who bared her fangs to show that she too had noticed the non-human aura of their guests and didn't like it.
The smoke cleared and the girls saw that the group that stood before them was made up of eight beings. Three male and five female. All clad in skin tight leather pants and vests with matching leather coats of various lengths. They all had sheathed knives strapped to their left thighs and a dagger handle could clearly be seen tucked into the outside of each knee length boot.
As they stood in the room facing them Darkness and Katie got the impression of a well trained fighting force waiting for a signal from someone.
A shiver passed through the assembled group which Darkness heard as an audible sigh and Katie felt like a cold soft wave across her conciousness. And slowly from the stairway came a long stream of dark blue smoke. It passed over them like midnight stealing across the sky and halted directly in front of the gathering.
Swirling, whirling, the mini tornado looked like anger in motion and as it formed into a solid shape it cast a sweeping blow that caught both girls and sent them staggering.
By the time they had hleped each other up again the smoke had completed it's shift and it was obvious that the woman before them was not only beautiful, she was also absolutely furious.
She spoke to them in a calm tone that was completely at odds with her body language, and her voice was warm and smooth as honey as she said. "It is very bad manners, to play in our garden and not invite us to join the fun."
Her smile was slow and easy and her lips parted to reveal even white teeth with two slender, needle sharp, points.
"My name is Camille, and the airfield and all the area surrounding it belongs to me."

The girls eyes widened in shock before they both kneeled before the towering beauty with their heads bowed. Lady Camille was known to their pack and all kin. As the most powerful vampyre in the region, you couldn't be kin and not hear the whispers of her name nor the rumors that followed. The girls could feel the strength of her will pressing against their minds. They would be fools to stand up against someone such as she.
"Forgive us, Lady." Began Katie with her head still bowed, "We meant no ill will nor did we mean to trespass upon your land. The last we heard your territory stayed beyond Carson Street. Had we known your boundaries had stretched we would have never entered without first seeking your Lady's permission. What can we do to gain your forgiveness?" The silence that followed made Darkness and Katie nervous. Even with their heightened hearing they could not detect a sound from the vampyres before them. They couldn't look up in fear of being seen as insincere, so they were grateful for their noses that detected the faint heady scent of roses.
"Do you lie that you knew not of my boundaries, kittens?"
A tension melted out of them at the sound of her lilting voice. "No, milady." Their members who were supposed to keep them updated on the going ons of other packs and kisses had been silent for weeks. A few more days and they'd have to be hunted down in case something had gone wrong, but to tell this to the Lady Camille wouldn't be wise.
"I believe you." The girls looked up at those words to see her ladyship licking her blood red lips. "Your words taste true. You should see about those who should be telling you these things." They watched in barely restrained anxiousness as her kiss broke apart and began lounging in their chairs and couches. They kept their eyes on Camille as she sauntered over to the couch they had just vacated. She practically flowed into the chair before picking up a piece of pizza and biting into it.
"So tell me, what were you doing at Ky's residence?"

They were both reluctent to tell but katie spoke up "We were sent there by a former customer to kill him."Camille stopped eating the pizza and looked at her."You know your not supost to kill humans' she replied."I know my lady and we dont not we left the place finding out he was a good man" katie said getting a little nervous."Then all is well as long as you did not hurt him no punishment will be put on you" Camille replied. Wolfie can walking in the front door with Tommy talking to one another. Wolfie then notice a sudden power surge and looked over at Camille. He had never seen her and quickly unsheated his sword and moved increably fast at her."WOLFIE NO" Darkness and kaite shouted but they couldnt stop him.It seemed he was going to cut right through her. Then she raised he hand up and hit him backwards he went flying into the wall.Darkness,Katie, and Tommy were stunned by the power. Darkness and Katie knew Lady Camille was strong but Wolfie was one of the stongest Were's they have ever met and she knocked him back so easily.

Having swatted Wolfie like a fly Camille gazed at him with admiration evident in her eyes.
Mocking him slightly she said, "Your bravery is matched only by your foolhardiness young cub! You should learn to control your impulses, before they land you in more trouble than even you can handle."
Waving her arm in the direction of the tall man standing at the back of the room Camille said " Joseph, show him how to draw his sword properly."
Joseph moved silently to the space cleared for him by the rest of the group, and waited.
"Watch and learn little cub, if you pay attention you will profit from this demonstration." She waved her hand at Joseph and watched him as he seemed to turn into liquid silver before their eyes.
Every movement flowed into the next, a seemless, faultless drive of emotion, with only one purpose.....The death of the foe he faced.
Silent, lethal, he was incredibly beautiful to watch as he performed his dance of death with impeccable self control.
From the moment he drew his sword, until the last movement which thrust it back into the sheath he wore strapped on his shoulder, his fluid motion was both a joy and an exquisite pain to watch.
As he moved silently back to his sentry point at the rear of the room, Wolfie leaned towards Camille and said, in a confidential whisper heard by everyone in the room. "Do you think he'd teach me how to do that?"
Camille laughed softly and replied...."If you are brave enough to ask him yourself, and he doesn't kill you for your impertinence, he might."

"Victor is dead." Katies statement fell into the awed hush left by the end of the demonstration like an atom bomb.
"Who was responsible for that?" Lady Camille asked.
Wolfie looked at the rest of his group and moved to speak, but before he could utter his confession, Katie said. "We all were. He betrayed all of us, so we executed him."
Lady Camille's chuckle was as delightful as it was unexpected. "Well I said you weren't supposed to kill humans, sub-humans are a different matter. No-one who betrays any of us can be allowed to live. It makes all of us look weak!"
There was a barely audible murmur of agreement from the assembled group. "We must stand as a united force or we will fall like a rotten oak before the ravaging gale of human fear and hatred. Humans would be the deadliest disease on this planet if they are allowed to do as they will. We have stood by and watched them abuse and pollute this world for long enough. Some of us have put the wheels in motion to put a stop to this selfish behaviour of theirs, and bring about a new order. Ky and his second in command are to be important players in this new world war game." Lady Camille looked around the assembled group to see if her words were having the impact she intended, and gave a satisfied inner sigh at the interest and enthusiastic determination she saw reflected in all their eyes.
If you were........" Lady Camille searched for the word she required, "amenable........ You could be very useful to us. All of us."
Katie thought of her hatred of how the humans treated her and all her kind. "I'm in."
Darkness thought of a pair of honest blue eyes with humour and avid interest in them.."I'm in too."
Tommy thought of Katie and the fact that he would do anything in his power to ensure her safety, even though she was so feisty and independant that she would hate it if she knew how protective she made him feel. Where she went he would follow, he couldn't not! He sighed as the truth of his feelings hit him, full force. "I stand with..." about to say 'Katie', Tommy caught himself just in time. ".....the others. I am in too"
Wolfie thought of the fight. Oh, how he loved the fight, and if he joined with the rest maybe Joseph would teach him some of the moves he had shown them tonight. Fast on the heels of that thought was another equally important one. The weapons these warriors used were FINE!!! As fine as any he had ever seen. If there was any chance he could get to look at their arsenal, perhaps wield one or two......"Hey-ll Yeah! I'm am so in."
"Then we should begin by introducing you to the unit or at least it's 'local' members." Said Lady Camille.

"come" Camille said politely, "and I will introduce you to the members of the unit"
they ran through the thicket to a small camp just about 2 miles away.
"greetings" a voice shouted towards them, "your just in time for the feast"
"hello, natural wolf" Camille called back "I didn't know you were here"
"can't expect me to miss a party can you?"natural wolf grinned toothily.
Wolfie could see he had long canines "what are you?"
"I'll take that politely and say"vampire" if thats what you mean"he smiled "we have just caught a deer so we are celebrating" he walked back in the direction of the camp where there was a faint sound of cheering.
"who is he?" Katie whispered quietly to camille.
"he is leader of one of the groups" camille replied "come, and we will meet the camp"

Hawke was travelling light.
The murmurs he was looking for are harder to find when you are laden down with unneccessary junk.
searching the ground and low branches first, he saw two footprints eight feet apart. It was obvious that the owner of the feet had been moving very fast. The trace left was also bright so the owner must have been moving without too much care.
It occured to Hawke that they were either running in fear or, more likely, just revelling in the joy of speed.
Tracking back he found more of the familiar foot signs and then a new one, the only similarity being the energy signature, he knew he was on the right trail now and pushed forward again constantly scanning for new sign.
Hawke grew excited, his long search was finally coming to something.

The prints became softer and lifted treeward, he knew it was about to get more difficult ...trees have a unique way of eating tracks..and he sighed, the owner of the prints obviously knew how to hide.
Hawke sniffed and inhaling deeply...in front of him the existence crumbled physicality changed, swirls of energy eddied and swarmed slowly through and into the trees, each of these ancient beings looked like a large whirl pool slowly pushing energy into the ground and lifting it steadily back out again as a long silver plume of smoke.
A long very faint purple trail of vapour meandered through the whirling masses. Rendered more obvious Hawke could now follow it easily and he took to the air. It would be easier to travel that way and avoid what would have been clumsy progress through the physical plane.
Speeding up as he flew he thought briefly of the similarity to following a display Red Arrow.
He never could fathom the reason the planes made smoke like that ...talk about show your enemies were you are.

Ahead of him he sensed a shift in reality, large beings, Vast energy sources.

He felt their prescence extend and engulf him scanning, probing every fibre of his being.
The presence left and suddenly light headed Hawke had to concentrate to remember what he had been doing, the touch of the dragon was friendly but so huge his senses tingled.
"THE ONE YOU SEEK IS HERE" came the voice booming across his conciousness

Difficult to track and rarer than the red diamond they prized so much, Hawke was deservedly pleased with himself.
He was setting down next to the illusive being he knew to be a shapeshifter.

Back at the camp. wolfie stared around in amazement, the camp was huge! there were camp tents everywhere. canopies hanging over to keep them out of site.
Huge fires were strewn all over the camp sites giving it a nice warm glow that was peaceful and calming.
"wow" katie sighed "what a cool place"
they walked around and spread out, wolfie could feel different energies.... then he picked up -
"humans" wolfie looked around for the source of it, then he noticed a lot of tents that had been separated from the rest of the camp.
"you'll want to stay away from there"a voice said quietly to him"they're not a very peaceful lot"
he turned to see a man that felt about twenty three years of age.
"come this way, because if they see you they'll.....never mind,you just need to know, that they are very full of themselves and you dont want to meet them"
they went back to the feast and saw huge groups of people brandishing swords at a group of people that were about the same size as them, also brandishing knives and swords
"oh no" the man said weakley to him, he turned to look at him going pale by the light of the fire "it has begun."
