I wanted to ask this question here because I thought if anyone would know if this was true then there was a better chance of finding them here than just about anywhere else.

We have a hypnotherapist who works on the staff helping guests lose weight and quit smoking etc etc.. and we were talking today in our lunch break and she said that re-incarnating souls travel in packs, like family units. So if you went for past life regression hynotherapy sessions then there was a really good chance that you would see people in your past life that you would recognise from this life.
Can this be true?

It sounds fantastic, and yet she seemed absolutely convinced of it.
I don't mean that she sounded like she was trying to convince me or talk me into believing her or anything like that. I mean she sounded calm and self assured. Like she just knew this and so didn't have to worry about proving it or having anyone disbelieve her.
It was so weird, the quiet, matter of fact way she said it.

I'd appreciate any replies with any thoughts anyone might have.
I gotta go for my run now before work. Ha! run, that's what I call it, it's more of a brisk walk out and a slow hobble back, but I'm getting there.

It's not the same for every case Faith but your friend is right.
There are many groups who choose to "travel" together. It is a good way to have a base of "family" to work from so that you know that pretty much whatever happens you will be accepted by those around you. Quite often the individuals of the group are born in very different circumstances, and places, and are drawn together by apparently incomprehensible means.
That draw is basically an extension of "Kin magnetism" which is more specific and refined than the general pull we all feel.
Unfortunately these family units are sometimes kept apart too, which is usually when things don't go to plan and bad things happen (in my opinion anyway).
Generally the whole point of "travelling" together is to have friends around feel comfortable and look out for each other.
For the most part it works quite well too I think.

Just as a side thought ....It doesnt matter how much you do, if you are getting better at it thats what's important.

Do we all get to choose whether or not we come back as one of these family units? If that is true then how come I'm alone right now and having a hard time of it, if all I had to do was choose to come back as one of a group?

No Rosa.
Most people come back as single souls. If they teamed up with any others in a lifetime they would then have the option of forming a recurring clan unit. Many people do.
The drawback to this is that the human body distorts the 'feel' of an essence, so even if you knew someone really well as an essence you might never recognise them again once that essence enters a body. So the first time you meet them must be while they are in a body in order that you should be able to recognise your clan members when they are in body again.
Though of course it is possible to mask your 'feel' if there is anyone you specifically want to avoid. Once you know how they feel when they are encased in skin you can make arrangements on the other side to meet back on the Earthly side next time around.
This is how many Clan Families are formed.
