Greetings and Blessings upon thee,

I had meant to, as is polite to make myself known here prior, but as they say.. It is better late than never.. If it so please you I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself.. My name is Ezaraudin.
I am one of the Tuatha DeDanaan. CwnAnwnn more specifically.. I have been awake now for 14 years.. And while it has been an interesting experience, as I get older it loses some of the luster that it had when I and it were new.. Somethings, like the radio traffic in ones noodle never goes away, but you learn to live with them. I do have a nasty reputation and admittedly most of it is well deserved. I stand up for the little guy.. Can't help it really.. Being a soldier it is ingrained. What can one do? My background is in History, Theology, Philosophy, and how they relate to one another. It has been my focus to add a touch of common sense and respect to Otherkinship and the Community at large.. For example: It is one thing to be a Dragonkin.. another to be Tiamaat.. One thing to be a Vampire, and another to be Count Magnus Lee.. I don't expect much mind you, but if you're the reincarnated soul of Hitori Hanzo.. I expect you to have at least a grasp of the Japanese language.. Like any subculture you have to expect some of the fly-by-nighters, but still. My own Awakening was
long and turbulent, as most of them are.. But it was a life changing event that takes more than an hour or two of meditating, or a Book of the Month club membership at White Wolf press. For those of us that really experienced an Awakening, it is a deeply personal and spiritual event.. So I do see where.. "I thought about it for a few hours and realized I was an Anthropomorphic angelic Fairy-fox kin." can get on folks nerves. These folks its pretty obvious by who and how they convey themselves whether they are or not, but it is unecessary to make US look little better by discarding the principles of acceptance and understanding that we as otherkin are supposed to embody.

Any details or questions about me is open so feel free, but I am not accustomed to just talking about myself, which is evidenced by my soapboxing again so I shall cut this short and simply say it is an honor to meet you all.

I am very much looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts and experiences.
I would be very interested to hear more about the wild hunt as I was fortunate enough to meet one of your kind that inhabits Trollers gill in Yorkshire in my younger years. I have never known what I was looking for to find out more about him.
Hopefully you will be able to shed a little more light on things for me.

You seem to have a pretty good idea of how this place works already, and what most of here are trying to help Lady C and Zygo achieve. It would be great to have your help.

I am still very new to all this, I had been aware of something different about me for a few years but only started properly awakening last year. Now I believe I have my kintype, but I have yet to find my tail. Still, there's no hurry.
14 years is a long time to be awakened. How long did it take you to become fully aware? Or do you think you are still working on that?
What do you mean when you say you have a nasty reputation?

As you can clearly see questions are something I do quite well.

Thank you, all of you for the warm welcome. I will begin I suppose with answering as many of the questions posed as I am able, so in no particular order, here goes...

See, believe me, 14 year is a long time, and let me tell you, it feels so much longer.. As for complete awareness, that took me maybe the first two years and some change.. Though, I think looking back, it was more recognition than true awareness, because once I learned some of the nifty things that could be done, I tended to use that for all the wrong reason and the power trip took more of a central focus than did the enlightenment.. But, as we age, we learn.. ideally at least. Now I do not claim that it was an overnight thing, far from.. But I got all of the kinks out by about four years in. The rest was aware, but there is in all of us room for growth. I have spent those years in my quest, taking on and helping Apprentices of my kind, and I think that is where we truly do the most of our learning.

As for the reputation, as Zygopteryx can at-*test*-('") I fear neither man nor beast when it comes to putting my two cents in.. Popularity is on my list of things to strive for.. frankly put.. Lower than the temperature of Space on the KELVIN scale.. I do also try to add a semblence of common sense to a community which in the past has existed primarily devoid therof.. Some of the examples I have cited are personal favorites of mine.. "I am the returned spirit of a great Shinobi!" Really? Ohiyo guzaimas odenki geska? "huh?" Or "I have stood with my brothers as Eden was forever sealed, I am an Angel?" Really? Rock on.. If Adam and Eve had two Children, Cain and Abel, and Cain rose up and Slew Abel, for which he was banished from Eden east to the Land of Nod, and there he took a wife.. Where the heck did SHE come from? I love the diversity of Otherkin.. but I tend to have a problem with forgetting to bring my 2d20 to make my vs. outlandish claim Saving throw. As I have said before, tell me you're a dragon, and I'll believe you.. Tell me you're The Midguard Serpent.. Brow gets raised. So from Rhialian, to The Silver Elves, to even the Misspelled TirNanNoc I established myself as someone who did not play cliques, or swallow everything and ask for seconds.. I am not afraid to ask the direct question, and most folks especially here automatically think that if you question them you're being intolerant of them.. I'm just tired of the assumption that because we have different than conventional beliefs, that we'll believe anything.. While anything is possible in an infinite universe, don't take us for idiots either.

As for the Wild Hunt, I would be happy to answer whatever questions I can, but aside of Hernes Ride, the CwnAnwnn had many other functions. We served as both military and police, that particular caste was almost entirely civil servant.. Each of the three Houses, Daun, Danu, and Llyr served a specific function in government and society, though I can say that few things were as much FUN as the Hunt..
