Where do you buy your ritual magical tools?
Do you have a favourite shop online, do you have a local shop for these things, do you eBay?
I have done all of these and find that depending what you are buying, online shopping can often be much cheaper and the choices are VAST!!
If I want a specific herb or magical ingredient I will shop at one of my three trusted shops, one IRL and two online. I don't mind paying a little extra from these places for these items as I know I am buying the 'real McCoy' and therefore my spells will be better.
But for things like platters, my altar cloth and a couple of Chalices I am happy to buy online from eBay or places like that.
With these things it is the cleansing and consecration that is important to me, not the origin of the item.

What about anyone else here who does magic?
Looking forward to hearing about you and your shopping. smile.gif

No I don't think I would buy ritual magical items from eBay either, but for basic items that are only made magical by the things YOU do to them after you have bought them I guess that would be OK. smile.gif

I get any basic herbs/remedies I need from a very good, well practised and talented friend of mine. smile.gif
I must admit I haven't asked her where she gets the stuff she doen't grow herself. otherkin/lol.gif

I work a lot with crystals and their colour vibrations. Not magic exactly, more energy work.
But I would happily buy crystals and semi-precious gemstones from the internet, even eBay would be alright, as of course I would cleanse and charge them, tuning them to my own vibrations before using them.

There is almost no-where to buy such things around here. There was one shop that had quite an impressive array of different stones, crystals, gems and minerals, but that has changed a lot over the last year and now almost exclusively sells silver jewellry set with gems which, the sales assistants tell me, may or may not actually be the gems they are pretending to be. otherkin/sad-smiley-056.gif
I miss shopping there.
Ah well never mind, the variety of stones and sizes and quality is much more varied and impressive when you can shop from anywhere in the world.
The whole array of the worlds gems to choose from at the click of a button. How can that be anything but a good thing?

I wouldn't bother going near eBay, it's not worth it in the least, that and you'll pretty much never find anything you need on there anyways.

I bought the fabric for my altar cloth from eBay, and I have bought incense and a holder from eBay too, (the holder is a really beautiful one with a gargoyle on it). I think it all depends what you are looking to buy and what you want it for.
I also bought some really beautiful Opal, still in the matrix, for a good friend of mine for Yule. Two matched pieces that came directly from the mine via eBay, and are absolutely stunning. Full of magical energy and some of the finest protection stones I have found.
Some searching is necessary, but worthwhile purchases can be found amid the eBay mass of 'stuff'. otherkin/687.gif

You shouldn't just dismiss it Wolfie, for just that attitude Diamonds used to be thrown away as 'just some more ugly rocks'!!! otherkin/lol.gif

Well I don't think it's good to be snooty about eBay. If you are careful, and choosy it is possible to find some wonderful things there.

I do not buy herbs, potion ingredients or spell items there, but I have bought chalices and things of that sort, and I have even managed to find some items which mean I can dedicate my altar specifically to a few of the Sabbats. That helps focus my mind and so strengthens my magic.
But I don't feel the need to pay a fortune for things blessed and consecrated by another witch when all I am going to do is cleanse and re-bless and consecrate them myself! And I never buy ready made potions, spells or incantations either. The good luck pouches and fetishes that are for sale on eBay are for the gullible people with more money than sense.

As with every other purchase you make, shop around and use your common sense and you will be fine.
