I keep looking for some place to share my experiences, memories, etc. but I'm having a hard time because I don't fit into any of the Otherkin categories we have here. I'm sure I'm not the only one (or if I am, won't be the only one in the future with how many different kinds of kin crop up on a daily basis). I suggest Lady C make a Chamber Room for all of us "other" Otherkin that don't quite fit any of the categories already listed.

What do you guys think?

ComeToMe- 06-18-2008
Firstly I think that I should say that I am happy to make an 'other' Otherkin section if that is what you want BC.
But I am uncomfortable with the idea that any Otherkin race should be made to seem or feel less important than any other just because at the moment we have only one representative of that race as a member.
We are all equally important, and we all deserve a section that represents our race and ours alone. It may mean that in the future the Castle has so many sections it must be divided into wings in order to accomodate everyone, but as you said BC I doubt you are the only one of your kind, perhaps if you had a section of your own there might be a chance more of your kind could find you.
Anyway as always the decision is yours as to which kind of section you want, and where you would like it, I will be happy to open you a chamber room upstairs or a workshop in the grounds. smile.gif
And of course you have some input into what it would be called.
This is your forum.
I own it and Zygo and I run it, but you all do the hard work. otherkin/687.gif
Let me know your views and I will happily put the end result up for a vote.

Lady C.

I agree with that Lady C.

If we all deserve our own forum section BC does too. Machine kin may not be a common occurance, but it is still kin. Perhaps not the same as we may recognise in ourselves, but never the less a valid kin type just the same.
Don't let her get away with thinking she's not as important as the rest of us. otherkin/lol.gif

Although the choice has to be yours of course BC, you're one of the family now, wouldn't you like a space of your own?
I'll back you with whatever you decide.
Faith.

i say yay to more rooms! especially so everyone has their own niche to toy around in.
hide and seek in the dark is going to be rad! so many rooms, and the place was huge to begin with! aah, to be able to hide sufficiently with all the keen eyed (and nose, and ear, and psychic sensed) kin on the prowl... otherkin/hiding.gif

I'm not a she, first of all. (I am actually female-to-male transsexual, but that's beside the point... I live full time as a he.) otherkin/oops.gif

Second... if you feel it would be better to have a machine kin section, go for it. I have known a couple of my kind over the years, but they are very few and far between.

Perhaps having such a section that will appear on search engines and what-not will attract more of them. smile.gif

I'm all for it, Lady C.

I'm sorry BC.
If you live as a male full time by choice, then that makes you male, and so I apologise for my mistake. smile.gif

I still think you're as entitled to a room of your own as anyone else. You being male won't change that. lol

What kind of section do you want, do you think?
I mean would you want a Chamber room upstairs or a Garage in the grounds? smile.gif
Was that offensive? If so I'm sorry, I really don't mean to upset you, just wondering where you would feel most comfy.

If I open my mouth a little wider do you think I could get my other foot in too?

Faith.

No worries, Faith. I had a good chuckle about that garage comment. I acknowledge my vehicular stature and embrace it fully.

However, not all machine kin are vehicles. Therefore, I think a general machine kin section in the Chamber Rooms will suffice. smile.gif

Thanks!

The problem with using the word mythological is that it means fictitious or made up. And therefore would send entirely the wrong message to these kin races in my opinion.
Hmm, I shall have to think on it and see what I can come up with.
In the meantime any ideas/suggestions would be very welcome. smile.gif

The ones you know may call themselves that, but the ones I know don't. So yours may not be bothered, but mine and some others may be.
Very difficult.
