Ok so I have a Deviantart account, My Webpage
for those who want to take a peek but heres one of the poems on there at the moment..

Shade's Victim:


You appeared to be an angel,
A rose amongst the weeds,
But even though you are beautiful,
We both know were the Devil laid his seeds.

It seemed that when you smiled,
The Sun and Moon would shine,
But Shade had broken your heart,
And you were soon to break mine.

Now when you smile,
A shadow spreads across your face,
It turns out you were fallen,
A tempter from another place.

Your kiss cut me deep,
Your words deeper still,
And like a vampire you left,
Once you had had your fill.

You had embraced me with you charms,
And with the things you do,
And as you entwined me in your arms,
We both said “I love you”.

But now I know you were lying,
You told me I’d been used,
I can’t even tell you,
The after thoughts I mused.


If there’s one thing I learnt from you,
It’s that every rose has thorns,
Some however have more than others,
This is what my tale warns.




I myself am still contemplating the exact identity of Shade here, and who or what it is.
He could be the heartbreakers past or personal demons. Their darker side, an ex lover or even lust.

I love that GD.

And it's none of my business, but I would leave the identity of Shade unstated. Just my personal thought, but that way each reader could believe him/her to be whatever they want, and tailor this personality to fit their own personal circumstances?
It's just a thought.

I'm sure people will find other meanings to what shade might be, those are only a few of the ideas that I thought of that were possible at the time, not a given deffinition. Thanks for the input glad you like it.

That was a good poem GD.
I especially liked the way you related her previously being hurt, to her hurting you. That happens so often doesn't it?

I like what you said about Shade, but I also like the idea of being able to change him/her to be relevant to me.
Greedy aren't I? lol
