I apologize, I didn't mean to make it seem like I was saying you didn't. I should have stated that better.

I do see your point here. I was not trying to say that My Space was to blame. I was trying to say(I'm not very good at saying things today apparently otherkin/687.gif) that my not having a My Space account was a sort of strike against My Space being, as you said "a pawn in all this". I think that My Space would do something about it to try to insure that it is more secure. Instead of allowing Teenagers to put their exact location on it.

Most teens in my town have a My Space, and most of them put country, age, pictures, town, school, full name, etc... Most of them literally put their entire life on the internet, and most of them do not even bother having a private page.

I just do not think that what I consider their stupidity should be allowed. That is just too much information to put online in my own opinion.

Once again, sorry for not being very good at getting my point across today.

Firstly I accept your apology, and I can understand what you are saying too. smile.gif
But My Space gives the option of being a safe place. They don't have to fill out all their details. They choose to do that.
Back to the pool again for a moment.
Every pool has a shallow end with a sign that says do not dive in the shallow end it's dangerous. If you dive and hurt yourself is that the pool's fault for having a shallow end or your fault for not reading the signs?
If you know that putting that much info on My Space could be dangerous you can bet they know it too. They choose to go ahead and put it up anyway.
My Space doesn't say you have to, it gives you the choice.
It is like a whole lot of other things in life. It's as safe, or not, as you choose to have it be.

But it's their stupidity, and their responsibility. I think that either they or their parents should take that responsibility, and deal with it better. smile.gif
Anyway I am sooooo not trying to make you change your mind. You'd think I owned the company or something. lol
Take care and goodnight, *yawns* it's after 4 in the morning. *yawns again*. Goodnight.

Contrary to what I have previously said. I have decided that perhaps MySpace is not so evil. Cobweb has helped me see that MySpace isn't bad. It's those who use it who can be. Thanks Cobweb. Anyhow, my Profile URL is http://www.myspace.com/jess_n_travis_4ever

Feel free to friend request me.

Ah, so you have come to the dark side Anikan Skywalker (sp?) lmao....... Sorry, just had to put that in there after reading what's gone on -chuckles- Though I do not mean any disrespect or anything Legit.

I must agree with Cobweb. Myspace is just a tool as any other website. It is how a person uses it that deems whether it is good or bad, safe, or unsafe. Personally, I never quite cared whether someone knew where I lived or not, because for the fact that well, I'm a male, and I'm not all that interesting enough to stalk and what not. So I've never had a problem, even when I was a teen, I did the same. It never bothered me, and truly, I've made some of the best friends doing so. I am a very honest person, I will not lie about myself, and will tell anything to a person if I feel they have gained the right to learn it. Anyways, just my two cents.

I personally think it takes a supremely confident person to admit that they were, if not wrong, then perhaps not quite right in the way they were thinking about something, and to change their mind in full public view.

And a supremely decent person to credit anothers influence and common sense with helping to bring about that change.

Way to go Legitimize.
I admire your honesty and your kindness of spirit, aswell as your open mind and your willingness to see anothers point of view as having some validity.

Wraith.

Oops I appear to have hit a snag.
It says I need either your last name or your email address to send you a friend request Travis and I have neither.

Thank you Wraith. I don't even know what to say. I was wrong in my thinking, and I am not usually the person to keep believing the way I do when I have been presented with evidence otherwise of what I was arguing.

I really do appreciate Cobweb for showing me the other side of the story.

Thanks once again Wraith. I just try to keep an open mind and it usually keeps me out of trouble (usually otherkin/687.gif).

Excellent man.

That is what is needed much more in this world. An open mind controlled by the essence of one who is confident enough to listen and comfortable enough to change his views.

Though we do still need either a last name or an email address in order to submit a friend request Legitimize.
You could always PM one of them to the people who ask.
Or you could always change your settings if you do not wish to give up that information.
Or you could send friend requests to us if you don't wish to do either of those things.

But I should like to add you to my list of friends. smile.gif

Yes, yes.
You must make it possible for us to add you Legitimize.

And Yay Cobweb, your arguments were very persuasive but you still left him enough room to comfortably either stick to his opinion or change his mind without making himself look foolish. That's hard to do.

And Legitimize that is way cool. To do what you did. Many would have stuck blindly to what they have always thought, despite whatever common sense they heard in favour of the thing they oppose.
Kudos to you. smile.gif

My email is travis0510@gmail.com. So use that. I honestly thought I had it set not to require last name or email, but since it does. There you go otherkin/687.gif

I appreciate you both saying it was good of me to change my views and not be blindly bull-headed. It can be rather difficult but sometimes changes in views are required. Thanks everyone again.

~Legitimize

EDIT: I checked my settings and I was right. It shouldn't be requiring email or last name to do it. However, I changed those settings just now. So it will.

My email again is travis0510@gmail.com or my last name is Jackson. If that won't work. Then it is myspace who has the issues.
