I thought it would be good for us to have a place to put the names of programmes and movies we've seeen starring Kin and tell others if they were any good or not.

I'll start.


Reign of Fire.
Well if you can over look the terrible ending, (in my opinion the wrong side won! lol) this is a very good movie. Fast paced and interesting all the way through, for me it always ends too soon so I rewind and watch it all over again.

Vampire in Brooklyn.
Starring Eddie Murphy as the Vampire of the title I expected to hate this movie, and for some of it I did. There was a little too much comedy for a serious Vampire horror movie, and not enough for a comedy movie. They should have decided which catagory this belonged in before they made it. Instead it falls somewhere in between and so it doesn't fit comfortably in either, and there is some serious silliness with a zombie! After saying all that I have to add that Eddie Murphy for me made a surprisingly excellent Vampire.
If you can ignore the slapstick, which could spoil this movie if you didn't, it makes a passable way to spend an hour or two.

An American Werewolf in London.
Everything I said about the problems of the movie above fit nicely in with this movie too. It could have been an excellently terrifying movie, but instead went for comic horror and missed both targets. The absolute best bit about this movie was the transition in the living room. This was the most closely filmed and detailed 'change' I had ever seen when I first saw this movie, and even now ranks among the top ten for me. Even after all this time and all the advances in computer generation there have been in this genre, it is still excellent.
