I'm wondering how other people meditate. For me I close my eyes and picture myself as my wolf and run. That's it i just run and everything seems so simple and easier. However recently it's been harder to achieve me and my wolf have fallen a bit out of touch so I'm trying to figure out hat is wrong so I can make it better. Geez it was so much easier when he solved my problems

I usually only meditate to relax and center myself.
So I sit somewhere quiet and private and try to still my mind as much as possible. I have never tried to clear or empty my mind, I never get that long to spend meditating. smile.gif
So I just try to get the noise down to a point where it doesn't intrude on what I am doing.
Then I concentrate on my breathing and relax my muscles.
Breathing in and out slowly and relaxing deeper into the meditation with every breath.

Once I feel I have reached my desired level of calm I slowly begin the journey back to my body. Reaching through the meditation back to self.
Once the journey is complete and I am again in my own body, I do several stretching exercises just to re-awaken my muscles and I am done.

For me I offen have trouble clearing my mind. I sometimes put on some quiet music. That is fairly repetitive and long. Then I just relax and try to clear my mind. I just lie down and let my energy flow. It's quite relaxcing. Hope I helped

I often meditate before I do any kind of ritual or ceremony.
But it's only ever a case of sitting somewhere quiet and comfortable, with my eyes closed and my breath soft and gentle.
Feeling the world around me, and my breath passing into my body is about all I ever do on these occasions.

I have a few meditation things that I do for specific purposes, but this is what I do when I just want to re-connect to myself and my own space.

There are different ways I meditate I lay down mostly because I feel more comfortable lying down. But I have heard of bio-energy. Put you index finger an half inch to an inch from your third-eye chakra you should feel a weird buzz. When you meditate it should feel like that. don't worry if your mind wonders around it cool. but breathe in and out slowly for a while until your body feels numb. I go until it's really numb about ten min. after it stats to feel numb. I count back from five - zero. I continue to breath in and out last night it was the strongest I have ever got. But it good to meditate it relieve pressure after a long day. At least for me. I hope I was some help

I do a couple different techniques depending on what i'm meditating for. If it's because i need to calm down I do what you do wolf brother, I imagine a vast forest, very old and cool, twilight and i just run through it, usually as a wolf because it's she who grounds me. If it's to search myself, such as memories, i sit with my back against the side of my bed with my legs crossed, i close my eyes and just breathe. If i'm just clearing my mind, usually if i'm trying to hear or check up on people i lay on my bed and close my eyes and drift off wherever the winds take me. I like meditating, i feel very centered afterward.

i mainly sit comfortably when i meditate and make sure that there are no distractions,
i sometimes use a candle for forcusing the energy and then use breathing techniques to get fully relaxed.

i like aziz mare's technique though, may try that myself smile.gif

I hate that meditation requires no distractions. If I didn't have distractions. I wouldn't need to meditate to clear my head.

Yeah though, I never have time to meditate. It's a good thing I have learned to dwell in my mind with a crowded head because otherwise I might die.

All you really need to meditate is one second of uninterrupted thought, and then you extend it. Build on it every day, and before you know where you are you could have a whole five minutes of peace and quiet. lol
Calm serenity does not come straight away, it takes time to build and develop. Baby steps are the only way for many people. smile.gif

Good luck Legitimize.

Farshief- 05-28-2008
Yes, but I do not even want to try one second and then extending it. I can do that, it's just the feeling of getting ripped out of my happy place, center, whatever you want to call it.

It just feels awful enough to me for me not to want to meditate at all when there are people around. Does anyone else experience this?

No I am just the opposite Legitimize.

I can slip in and out of a meditative state quite easily. My family says it's as though one moment I'm there and one moment I'm just not there anymore. But it doesn't hurt entering or leaving.

What kind of awful are you talking about Legitimize? Is it painful or scary or what kind of a feeling?

I don't think I'd like meditating if it was like that for me either.

Silken.

Farshief- 05-28-2008
If I get interrupted when I'm meditating it feels... Like pain, but not like pain. I guess it might be psychic pain or something. But yeah, it's just very unpleasant for me because it literally feels like my mind is being ripped back to my body and it's just not fun at all.

You have a slight problem with your meditating there Legitimise. You are stepping out of body and being yanked back in to reality when you hear a noise or feel some one moving near you.
That does hurt, its like being thrown out of a moving car without actually hitting the floor or like falling in a dream and waking up just before you hit the ground.
Do you meditate with your eyes shut......if so try using a symbol or candle to meditate on that will keep you focussed and in body.
So no more yanking sensation when you come back.

Farshief- 05-28-2008
Legitimise? Who is this? I am Legitimize lol.

I am stepping out of body? Where am I going? I do indeed meditate with my eyes closed. I am going to have to relearn my entire meditation technique aren't I?

I like the feeling when I get there. Just not coming back lol. This must be why it takes a bit for me to get into that state. I am actually leaving my body.

If I can leave my body already, maybe I can learn to open my eyes outside of my body and do bi-location or something.

You are stepping into the space between you and your inner space or between you and the outside astral.
At least thats the most likely destination....oh and your eyes are open it's just really dark there..in either place
