Now I have heard it said that everyone has one, some have more than one!
No, not noses, or faces!! otherkin/lol.gif

Time of year.............

Do you have a favourite season, or month?
Why do you prefer it to the others or are you just either unable to choose or so happy with each one that you love them all?

My favourite time of year, I have to admit, changes with my moods and my needs.
I love spring, the fresh shoots and beautiful flowering bulbs, and the feeling of hope, laughter, love and unrestrained joy.
I love Autumn, the warmth of the leaves and the bright red and shiny black berries on each bush and tree, and the memory of summer warmth without the searing heat and the scorching sun.
I love Winter and the clean cold feeling of crispness in the air, the crackling fires, the steaming mugs of hot chocolate and the snow flakes falling with that distinctive soft sound only snowflakes make.
You will notice I have missed Summer from my list. There are several reasons for this.
The heat, the flies, the crowds, the sunburn, the sunlight (so bad for my eyes), the light nights..........The list seems endless. otherkin/lol.gif

Well those are mine. smile.gif

So if you have a favourite, which is it and why?

Yes I love Winter.
It is the mistiest/foggiest time of the year and I love mist and fog. smile.gif I love watching it swirl and curl, covering everything in it's path with a gentle layer of grey until it vanishes all the things it touches with it's insistently creeping, softly chill fingers.

The air feels cleaner, and sound carries so far at night on the colder air.
The stars are brighter and the nights are longer.
I love to wear fluffy polo neck jumpers, and snuggle into them in front of a crackling fire.
I love the quiet of Winter.
I also adore Christmas/Yule. The trees, the tinsel, the fairy lights. The presents, the "Happy Christmas" greetings everywhere you go even to/from people you do not know. smile.gif
I love wrapping presents carefully and watching children rip it off gleefully without a care.
I love everything about this time of year. I even love the drizzle as it makes the air taste soft.

And I too love that sound that only gently falling snow makes.

OK that's 2 for snow falling.
Winter is in front, anyone have any other thoughts or has everyone fallen asleep and gone into hibernation for the winter? otherkin/lol.gif
