All stones, crystals and Metals fall into one of two groups dictated by their energies. Apart from a very small number which have both energies present in them, they are either Projective or Receptive.
PROJECTIVE ITEMS
Projective Items are used in magic when the energy needed is active and out going.
Projective energies, are bright, outward, aggressive and electrical. Strong forceful energies which deflect evil, overcome inertia and create movement. They help destroy disease, strengthen the concious mind and imbue their wearer with courage and determination. Used to promote physical energy, attract luck, bring success and add strength to rituals. Also used to drive off unwanted negative energies or put energies into an object or person.
Projective stones contact the concious mind and are often heavy/dense, occasionally opaque and are red, orange, yellow, gold or clear. They may also gleam like the sun.

Angelite also falls into the receptive category. I'm quite fond of working with it.
That's quite a new stone to be available for use though. It probably wasn't on Moon's list. It wasn't on mine either until I added it a couple of years ago.
I love the blue colour, like the clearest summer sky. Although I confess I found it distressing how plastic or waxy it looked at first glance, once you get used to using it's energies it is a lovely, friendly stone.
What do you use it for Byakko?
Do you just carry it with you and let it's possitive protective energies help you through your day, or do you have a specific use for it?
I don't connect to Angels very much but I am informed it is very good for that. I use it to help heighten my awareness of my surroundings and it's protective qualities for aura and personal space are extremely useful too.
Elvin.
I often meditate with it. Its cool calming energy usually keeps me focused. I also carry it around in stressful situations since it has a property that helps with anger management
It's funny. I often find myself attracted to stones that are beneficial for my issues. Angelite for rage issues, a whole variety of stones for depression and such. I guess the stones attract who could best benefit from them, eh?
Is there one that works for shopping issues?
I have so many of those I could use a little help.
Could always go with malachite, but it's something of an enabler
Did you mean something to make your shopping issues worse or help you stop spending?
Malachite is wonderful for helping you shop more, as Byakko says it is an enabler. For a disabler you need something like Cat's-eye, as this stone is great for guarding your wealth and helping you keep it in your pocket.
