This question was brought to my mind by my other post.
I sometimes stand on the beach and stare out at the ocean, and as I stand I swear sometimes I hear or perhaps I feel the call of something out there.
Something big, living and sentient. I don't know if it is a huge whale or what it is, but it feels like it is trying to communicate with me on some level.

So does anyone else get this feeling, from anywhere they go?
And if you do is it just the ocean or are there other places this happens too?

I would like it some day if I was able to.

I feel it. sometimes i confuse it with the joy of the source, but this joy is so much more... alive. i guess in the end it would come from the source as well, but this bit is more wild, more free, more like passion than the contentment of the source. I feel it where ever i go. Sometimes the call is so loud that it hurts not to listen and run free. it makes my skin tingle and my feet itch. I feel it the most when i've been too long from the Wild places. The song changes depending on which wild place is closest, maybe because it's calling to one of my different aspects instead of all of me. but it's always beckoning me to come run and play, to forget this life and howl to the moonlight, if just for a little while. I don't think i could ever explain it fully, and i've tried but usually the ones listening are those who could never trully hear the call of the Wild because they are domesticated by their human upbringing. i'm glad i'm one of the wild things even if the song is sometimes painful to hear.

I feel a wildness in the ocean. for me it is not a sentience I fully understand ..It doesn't think or percieve things in any way I am familiar with.
It is as far as I can tell not piscine or mammalian and certainly not Avian.

I hear it whenever I go fishing and feel it's presence as it passes. I have tried to connect to it and believe I have but could not understand what I saw. It's perception was so very different to mine that I simply couldn't process all of it, there were only really snatches of light and hints of the other beings present.
I have felt their emotions many times and they are easier to understand though I have no clue to the reason behind them.
I can feel the hunt in them and the elation of making a catch but after that I am a little lost. There is an agressive feeling which may be a form of anger but I am not certain.
I am not certain if this is the wild feeling you have felt Moon but it is the one I most associate with the wild. It is the most pure wildness I have felt.

I feel it in the vastness of space. The stars call to me with the voices of tens of thousands of kin.
Each voice in harmony with the rest, shows me where the idea for angelic choruses began. It began with us. As did everything that is not The Source.

The universe was our playground before the human bodies ceased to be our vehicles and became instead our prisons.
We are now trapped because many of us cannot concieve of a life without the boundaries placed upon us by the shells in which we dwell.
What you call 'The Call of The Wild' is for me the call to freedom.
It is the possibility of what could be, if we could only bear to break free of the confines of these ugly and burdensome bodies and live once more as the free flowing energy beings we were always meant to be.
It is the call to kin my friends, and it calls to all of us. smile.gif

Start off with a bit of off-topicness that I feel you need to know to understand part of what I am saying.

I have loved/love/will always love overcast days. I just don't generally enjoy the sunlight.

I have felt this call or longing feeling.

As the sun is setting and it is around dusk. If I am some place strange, as I have been a few times before. If there is also no one else around.(As you can see, these are very particular circumstances.) I will feel a sense of belonging accompanied by.... some thing that I cannot explain. I associate it with the call of the wild though. It sounds like the same thing.

Another situation where I feel this is if it has been storming or is fixing to storm and it is around the lighting level of dusk and really nice and cool out... I will get the same strange sensation of belonging.
