We have a dog called Sophie and a goldfish called Chug.

What about anyone else?

Farshief- 07-11-2008
I have one dog named Bandit, and a mother cat, who is currently having babies. She has had four so far I believe but one died. The mother cat was a stray and has no name.

I have a cat called Cookie/Aslan. I call him Cookie, but Zygo's kids call him Aslan.

And I have a dog named Shade, but she has been claimed by my mother as her new best friend so I may not have a dog for much longer. otherkin/sad-smiley-056.gif

Travis, your cat is having babies? That's so wonderful, but what on earth are you going to do with them all?

Farshief- 07-12-2008
I suppose we will give them away or put them in the human society.

My mom doesn't want cats because she's allergic.(I'm technically allergic as well, but I get over it.)

I have no pets. I am not reliable.

In the house I currently live in, there's two big dogs. A timberwolf/puranese mix, and a lab/shepherd mix. They're named Kooter (the timberwolf) and Roscoe (the shepherd).

In the house I'm moving to, there's two little dogs. A little black fluffball and a basset hound. They're named Dogface (the fluffball) and Charlie (the basset hound).

My mum has a disgusting smelly cat that sleeps on my bed if I don't keep the door shut. I like cats usually, but this one has some horrible habits and has quite put me off ever keeping a cat as a pet myself. otherkin/lol.gif

That reminds me of one of my friend's cats. This cat is probably 18 years old, is missing an eye, his meower is broken (it sounds like a rabid possum dying of throat cancer), and he's all scraggly, missing patches of fur, etc. Not to mention... he REAKS up a storm.

Farshief- 07-16-2008
Hmmm, I wonder what the smell comes from? Does your friend not wish to risk the scratching involved with cat baths?

It always makes me sad to hear of animals(especially cats) who are like this.

I almost cried when a kitten I knew for about five minutes died.

I just don't think it's fair that anything should only live for such a short amount of time(the poor thing was only alive for like 23 hours).

I always think to myself, why is it so unfair that they shouldn't get the chance to live.

Anyhow, sorry for getting off topic, continue.

that particular "old cat" smel has one or more of three origins Farshief.
The front end with bad teeth and gums (not nice) the back end with wind and the squits which lots of old cats suffer from or in the case of males (Toms) they tend to widdle on themselves when their workings stop working as efficiently as they should.
Incidentally dry food and lots of water can fix the first two problems quite effectively.
But there is not much you can do about the last one except get him neutered as a small person.

It sucks does that but I guess it's just nature when it comes down to it....if there is no hope it's better to get it out of the way instead of dragging it out for days or even months in some cases.

Izabella........ Pictures needed please?

Zygo

Nishyla- 07-16-2008
No, Zygo. I don't have any pictures of my pets yet. I hope to get some soon though. ^_^
