ok well i was looking around on the internet when i came across this conversation on another forum, one girl was saying she was a vampire like me and some other person i dont know called her a wanna be emo girl

that other person was claiming that he was the typical vampire of books, wants to jump a human at sight and cant live with vampires because of anger and tension

and when i tried to defend the girl he said that it must be hart to be mortal with a way to escape for a girl like me, i dont even know what that means and this isnt the first time another person claimed that he was the fictional vampire too and said it was kinda cute that i just didnt bite people whenever i felt like it...

what in the world is up with that otherkin/confused-smiley-006.gif

In my book, the only vampires that exist are humans with an energy deficiency. The classical, inheritor, and ageless vampires are more along the lines of fiction and are a highly debated topic. At any rate, if they do exist they definitely wouldn't be spouting off what they are on forums. I think you can safely say that Mr. Fictional Vampire is just that...fiction. He strikes me as a total roleplayer.

I don't believe that the Vampires of books and movies are anything like the real thing at all.
I mean honestly no-one can go around just biting anyone and everyone whenever they feel like it. That's called assault and it's illegal, and from what I understand many Vampires live and socialise quite happily together.
This person sounds to me to be playing a game of make believe, and while I have no problem with him doing that, I find it amazing that he has the nerve to call anyone else a wanna-be whilst doing it! Silly boy!
If you speak to him again you might mention the fact that we are all mortal. No matter what happens he will die like the rest of us. For those living in a human body such an outcome is simply unavoidable.
Of course then he may tell you that he isn't alive, because he's a Vampire. If he does then that's the point at which you say goodnight and leave. otherkin/lol.gif

For anyone who is interested this is what I believe a Vampire is, because it's what I am:
QUOTE
I believe that All things that exist vibrate with an energy signature that is exclusively their own. Each tree and rock and creature has it's own unique 'feel' to it. It is this energy that becomes visible as the colour spectrum of everything you see, and it is this same energy you 'feel' when you use Crystals and stones. Each group of beings collectively has an energy vibration that identifies them as that being, and all members of that collective group will vibrate on that frequency. Above that comes the personal vibrational frequency. This vibrates alongside the collective one to identify you as an individual.
So whilst Non-Kin vibrate on one level, Kin vibrate on a different one, the different races of Kin have different vibrational levels, and each individual has a personal vibration aswell.
Awakening begins as a switch in the vibrational level (which may just happen naturally, or be triggered by contact with a similar vibration) and progresses as you recognise and work with each new level you notice and each step along the path you take.
Also many Kin find that they are empathic to some extent, this is merely an affinity for certain vibrations that exist at a level close to our own, it is a natural thing that many Kin find impossible to avoid, and very hard to control without practice and plenty of effort. However once you understand that it is only a case of vibrational attraction it is a simple matter to fix it. You just need to find the empathic level of vibration and set your shield to block it, and it is done.
Psi feeding also relies on the manipulation of vibrational energy, you simply move the energy of something/someone else to you and change the frequency as it goes to make it acceptable to you, and useable by you to replenish your own dwindling energy levels.
Vampires vibrate on a very high frequency, this uses a lot of extra energy that a Vampire must replenish as best it can. This always means subsidising the energy it naturally produces with a supplement from an outside source. Feeding as either a Sang or a Psi takes care of the shortfall, and the amount needed varies with the individual. Some produce more than others, and some use more than others. So it is not possible to say what is a 'normal' amount of extra feeding. You must do as much as you need to to take care of yourself in the best way possible.
For me a Vampire is a being whose spirit/essence vibrates on a set energy frequency, a Vampire could never be mistaken for or confused with any other kind of Kin. It isn't in my blood, or the way I feed, it isn't a disease or a leaking Chakra, it is all in my essence, the very thing that makes all of us who and what we are inspite of how we may appear.

I have done quite a lot of research into the subject of Vampires and energy deficiency, I have a personal interest in such things. My inquisitive nature has unearthed some fascinating results.
I discovered that many humans suffer from energy deficiency.
People with anorexia suffer from PEM (protein-energy malnutrition), Marasmus/Kwashiorkor are the names given to PEM when found in children.
People with anaemia suffer from energy deficiency in their muscular function.
People with HIV suffer from energy deficiency in their immune systems.
There have been links between Bi-Polar disorder and an energy deficiency in the brain.
As many as 50% of patients with Alzheimer-type dementia suffer from protein energy deficiency.
In a study of alcoholic hepatitus sufferers energy malnutrition was found in every patient.
Though they are all medically proven to be energy deficient in some way they are not all Vampires. So to say that the only Vampires that exists are humans with an energy deficiency is wrong and very misleading.

I would also have to say that an ageless Vampire, or inheritor is a Myth. Immortals live only in books, movies and the imaginations of some people who still believe that Vampires are soul-less, re-animated corpses. These people who say they will never die, can turn humans into Vampires with a bite, and have super-human powers are not being truthful and you need to ask yourself whether or not such things could be possible, from what you know of how the human body works, and your own common sense should give you the answer.

If you ask someone what they are on a forum like this you don't expect them to say human. It comes as a surprise when they do. Of course they don't all mean that they are actually human, some of them mean that they connect to their human aswell as their otherkin side, and feel that that connection helps keep them grounded and balanced. There is nothing wrong with this view, but you need to remember that these people do have an otherkin side too, they do have feelings of connection to something that is in-human. However they allow their common sense and all their human senses to keep them aware of the limitations that bodies place upon them. I think it would be good if we all did that. Being more means using all your senses to their utmost extent for the greater good. Being Kin may give you abilities in the Astral, but very few of them will usefully manifest themselves on this plane, as the body contains them and puts up boundaries of skin, flesh and bone that there is absolutely no way around.
If someone tells you they are a Vampire, perhaps before you make assumptions about them you should ask them what that means to them. Some will tell you that they believe being a Vampire gives them super human strength, fangs, the ability to drink copious amounts of blood, and to make another person into a Vampire by biting them. They will tell you that they burn severely in the sun, and cannot sleep at night, but cannot stay awake during the day. That they are allergic to garlic, and hate Werewolves. Some may even claim to be related to Dracula or Vlad The Impaler.
These are only a few of the things I have read people state on forums, and of course some of these things could be the truth, but only up to a point.
From my experience, the true Vampires who have nothing to gain from their revelations are more likely to say something like:

"Many who claim to be Vampires are stronger than you would expect them to be, but scientific -*test*-('")s have shown that belief in the fact that you are stronger can physically make you stronger, often it is our own doubts in our abilities that make us unable to lift, open or close something."
"Many are allergic to the sun, their skin will react by becoming red/sore/itchy, but many, many humans have this reaction too, and it is becoming more common, it is not feasibly possible that all of them could be undiscovered Vampires."
"For anyone living in a human body with a human stomach, draining another body of enough of it's blood to kill it by drinking the blood released is physically impossible. The stomach very quickly reaches it's limit to accept blood, and they would be vomiting long before the intended victim was even unconscious."

These are not wild, unbelievable claims intended to impress or intimidate. These statments are truthful for a lot of Vampires, medically and scientifically researched, and factually accurate.

As for the physical ability to actually grow fangs, or the ability to turn someone or be turned into a Vampire by a bite, in my opinion anyone who believes these to be possible is setting themselves up for disappointment, and I hope they have support and help when they find out the truth.

I don't think he's for real, and you don't either, I can tell. smile.gif

He shouldn't really be calling anyone names if he's going to say unbelievable things about himself.
I think he's right about one thing though, it is hard to be a mortal, even believing what I do about re-incarnation doesn't mean I'm not worried about the way my life will end. Mortality is the thing we all live with, and whether he believes it or not his time will come, just like the rest of us. If he's still believing the immortal thing at the time, he's going to be in for a really nasty surprise, the poor thing.

i know what you mean...i mean i see myself as a vampire but not one of those i know my limits. yeah i burn very very easily and then i go all white again after that and my canine teeth are a bit longer and sharper than normal and i have trouble sleeping at night [i found that cat naps can help with that] but i dont see myself as an immortal being, im going to die its just a matter of what happens after that...

Fallen One- 10-18-2008
I don't mean to argue with you Whisper In the Dark, but not all those who claim to be human and otherkin are actually anything but humans with an extremely active imagination.
This person seems to be an excellent example of that.
I automatically distrust those who claim to be immortal.
Total rubbish as well as a physical impossibility.

Jardinn.

bitten8sln- 10-18-2008
yeah it just pissed me off when some guy was claiming that i was a wannabe and said 'it must be so hard for a girl like you to be mortal' or something along those lines...
