I am an artists not a writer so no I'm not writing a book, but your book sounds good natural wolf.
I don't think I've heard of a story like that before so if it's an original idea that will help it sell better I think.
Good luck with it and once you finish it tell us what it's called, then I can buy a copy. OK? smile.gif

i'm writing several books and stories, so many in fact that the stories tend to cause a traffic jam in my brain as they try to go down the narrow tube to my consciousness. But i've got one fiction story and one ... pamphlet i guess because it's only like... a chapter. But it's going to be a sort of "make the world a better place" type of dealy... But yeah. I am too!

I like the sound of your book very much Natural Wolf, and of course will want a signed copy when it is done. OK? otherkin/687.gif

Katie, you sound to be very busy indeed, how on earth do you prevent them from getting mixed up? I only write one or two stories at a time because I know I would become so confused I would have the wrong thing happening to the wrong person and then they would get rescued by the wrong heroine altogether. (Funny how my books always tend to have heroines rather than heroes. I don't do it on purpose, it just always works out that way.) rolleyes.gif
What are your books about Katie? If it's a secret right now that's OK, I am just suffering from a strong bout of the curiosity you spoke of in one of your earlier posts. smile.gif
I think I am going to have to save up a lot of money to buy one of each of your books. But as with Natural Wolf's book I will want my copies signing by the author! otherkin/lol.gif

Haha sounds good. I don't get them confused because to me the stories i'm writing have sort of already been written. It's hard to explain but my characters have already had their journey, i'm just listening to them and recording what they saw. It's like a tv show in my head, i guess. but the noise all the characters give off is quite noisy and some times i have a hard time focusing on just one voice.

Several of the stories i write are fanfics of Inuyasha. haha. i love that show. anyway, sometimes my characters suffer from stage fright so they cosplay as inuyasha characters as they act out their story and later i'll edit it and put in their real names. But one story is about a crazy circus, another is about a girl who's part of a family where if you kill them you get to wish for anything you want. Needless to say she's the last and people are looking for the last of the bloodline but no one, not even her, knows that she's the last. Um... I've got one started about otherkin that's based around a werewolf private eye. My main one that i'm getting closer to finishing is about a girl and a world full of magic and she gets awakened in her powers, then her boyfriend gets murdered in front of her and she goes kind of crazy and accidentally wakes his soul up and then he goes crazy and starts eating other souls to stay alive. It's a lot more complicated but if i tried to explain it all it would ruin it and i'd be writing another novel here. And all my stories seem to center around heroines or villainesses too! haha. i think it's because i've got a womans point of view and can really only assume what a guy would act and think like. anyway... when i get any of them published i'll be sure to sign it and send it your way. And when they go to movie form i'll sign and send a dvd to you too. haha.

You sound really talented Katie. I wish I could write things like that, but I haven't the imagination and my spelling would be terrible if it wasn't for the dictionary I have permanently super-glued to my left hand. otherkin/lol.gif
I'm sorry, but I've never heard of Inuyasha. It sounds American Indian? (Does anyone mind if I call them that? Some places don't like it. If you mind me using that term I am very sorry, but don't know what else to call them. Give me something else and I'll gladly call them that instead. OK?) Or maybe Chinese/Japanese? Like Manga maybe?
And what is cosplay? That's not a word I've heard before either. (I looked but it isn't in my dictionary otherkin/sad-smiley-056.gif)

Coo, sadly uneducated or WHAT?? otherkin/lol.gif

Katie- 09-04-2007
american indian? you mean native americans? like, "cowboy's and indians" of the american old west? them be native americans.

Inuyasha is japanese for dog demon. Inu being dog and yasha being a loose trans for demon. It started as a manga but then was put to anime for tv. fun show, lots of violence and animal demons.

cosplay is basically the words costume and role-play mixed together. It's mainly for japanese cultured stuff like anime/manga and so it's people dressing up as anime/manga characters and pretending to be them in a role-playing sort of way. There's whole conventions and stuff. It's like trekkies (star trek lovers) who dress up as star trek aliens or crew members and go to conventions. It's not as nerdy as it sounds, really! haha anyway, playing make believe is fun and cosplay is basically make believe for teenagers and adults.

i hope that helps!

I wondered what cosplay was too. Now you've explained it it all makes perfect sense. Have you ever noticed how often that happens, once someone has explained it to you you wonder how come you never got it before? otherkin/lol.gif
I don't think it's nerdy at all. I think it sounds like a lot of fun, and I wish ANYONE I knew did ANYTHING even halfway as interesting as that.
I admire anyone who is so dedicated a fan of anything. To go to so much trouble to get just the right look, sometimes even going so far as to purchase items from the actual shows/films in order to look as authentic as possible.

I know exactly what you mean when you say it is like the books have already been written.
With mine it's like it's a life that has already been lived, and I am simply following the thread of that life picking up the story as I go along. It is almost as if instead of being the writer I am the first person to read the story.
Not that I am an author, or even that experienced actually. I am just writing a book, but I am having a blast. otherkin/687.gif

With cosplay as a part of your story that must open up a ton of new plot adventures and possible endings. It sounds like a great idea, that I wish I'd thought of. otherkin/lol.gif
They sound like they would be almost as much fun to write as I am sure they are going to be to read. smile.gif

Hey maybe if we finish somewhere around the same time we should swap and see what the other's book is like? Of course I promise not to say a word to anyone about what your book is about. Obviously my lips would be well and truly sealed! otherkin/chained.gif otherkin/5389.gif

Katie- 09-05-2007
haha maybe. It's coming slowly. life is trying to keep it all down, but i'll kick life's butt soon. otherkin/paperbag.gif
