Is it true that your race are the only race of kin that were not directly created with the influence of our 'holy trinity' of Light, Absence and Shadow?
I have been visiting friends over the past few weeks and during one of our many, long, 'late into the night' conversations this snippet of info came up. No details were added really, it was just something one of the group had heard whispers about.
So being the nosiest of the nosy I thought I'd ask you if you knew anything?

Not a particularly well known fact Darkness, but your friend speaks the truth.
My kin are the only anything that does not have a direct creation connection to the Source.

Though some of the paths may be winding and might even criss and cross back and forth, if you track it back far enough, everything follows a path that can be retraced back to the source.
Except us.

If that's the truth, then you must be the only beings with true free will.

The only ones whose will is not directed to any degree by the touch of a creator.

Given that your natural form is one of mist or smoke and that everything has a balancing counterpart I was wondering what your opposite is. If that makes sense.
I would like to know as well, Is it true that when Wraiths meet in a group you become visible on a physical level?

I have some more questions but neglected to write them down in a way that makes sense to anyone but me, so if I may I will come back when they are more sensibly formed and ask you them then.

I understand that as you are formless you could not have been made by light or dark or of shadow because all of those have a definite presence.
So that being the case where do you come from?

Zygo, my goodess your questions got my brain turning. I have no problem with the answers, only with how to put them into words that can be understood.

Well here is my best effort.
Everything that exists has it's equal and balancing opposite. In this case the opposite of my kin would be, actually, your kin Zygo.
The well known saying "No smoke without fire" had to come from somewhere!
We formed, and because we were, and nothing can exist in a vacuum, the Triad made your kin to restore the balance.

Yes it is true that in groups we do become physically visible, but we do not gather into groups. We are not social beings. If you get a group of us together in one place that usually is a bad omen.

This is the question I have the most difficulty expressing my answer to. The best and simplest way to put it I think would be to say that every act of creation creates its own energy. Wraiths formed from that energy.
We have no form because pure energy has no form.
During the act of creation immense amounts of energy was produced. Unusable to the creators it gathered in it's formless state. Each act of creation produced more energy which contained memories of all the things created. We had sentience, substance but no form.
There isn't anything else I can think of to say but if you have any more questions please ask and I'll do my very best to answer.

Just wondering do you know how many Wraiths there are, I only know of two but I had heard of the group thing so knew there had to be more than the two of you that I knew of.
I only know of two phoenix ..possibly a third..so I am trying to get some idea of how many Phoenix there might be out there. presumably if there are say 10 Wraiths there would be 10 Phoenix at least according to the balance law anyway.

I can shapeshift because my essence contains the memory of the creation of everything else. In Wraith lies the possibility of all things.
As for numbers, I can only go on what I sense, and even that is sketchy at best.
There are very few Wraiths. Creation energy, whilst incredibly intense, and really powerful, is by it's very nature, scarce. My senses tell me that we number low double figures, perhaps 30-40, perhaps even less than that, but I'm afraid I couldn't be more specific than that and I don't know anyone else who could either.
We don't keep in touch and we don't have reunions. I'm sorry to sound so vague and be so mysterious, but I really can't tell you anything more.
Except that I think you're right about there being an equal and opposite number of Pheonix to Wraith, that would make perfect sense.

Did I mention that we're not social beings? I think I probably did. There is not much information, because there are few who willingly provide it.

As for the numbers, well we didn't have an endless supply of energy given to us to use. We could only utilise what we found free floating.
Unlike all of you who were pampered and given everything you needed for the good formation of healthy teeth and gums, and the best start in existence for growth and development. We were very much on our own, and simply did the best we could.
The Triad were very generous to all of you. We were very much the unloved orphans. I think that's why we have so much trouble relating to others.

Wraith, I hope you don't mind this question, but it occurred to me and I thought I'd mention it.
If you have memories of the kin, captured within the energy given off at the instant of their creation, do you also have memories of the beings that created them, as it was their energy that fuelled the act? Wouldn't some of their energy have been free floating in the aftermath aswell?
And if it was and you took some of that energy along with the rest wouldn't that give you a connection to the source?

I don't have any of the memories of creators, or the created, only of the actual act of creation.

The word I used, memories, might have been slightly misleading. It is not a memory as in I remember the things you remember from your life. It is more a negative image of the positive act of creation, an echo of the act of creation stored within the energy given off at the time of creation.

I do not have/share any of your memories Wolfbrother, only the memory of your creation. My essence holds the echo of yours, vibrating within it.

I don't mean to make you feel uncomfortable, don't answer if you don't want to.

I don't mind answering your questions Darkness. It isn't always easy, but I don't mind.

Sometimes I feel lonely and displaced, but I am not alone in those feelings. I believe most kin have them at some point in their lives.
But I have become accustomed to mine, and now mostly it does not bother me so very much.

I think the hardest thing is not to feel touch. I have never directly touched, or been touched by, anything, animate or inanimate. Each and every single thing passes straight through me without making any physical contact whatsoever. That lack of contact is the most difficult thing to bear.
