A shadowed heart worn on a sleeve.
A chance to love at last.
A different future to believe.
I cast aside my past.
A love that knows the shor-*test*-('") span.
A life so brief and fleeting.
A kiss, a sigh, a promise made.
Two hearts joined at first meeting.
To dream this dream of evermore.
Experienced by so few.
To part would be such agony.
To abandon love so new.
Yet death cares not for mortal woes.
It laughs at plans we make.
The love we share means nothing.
If we dream but never wake.
I miss your smile, I miss your eyes.
Your laugh that made me shiver.
Though death took you away from me.
Our love will live forever.
That is beautiful Shade.
Haunting and sad.
I agree with Faith, Shade, that was a very beautiful poem.
Oh Shade, what an intense poem.
Thankyou very much for sharing that with us.
I had not noticed this until you found it and posted on it Shadowed Belief. So firstly to you my thanks for bringing it to my attention.
And Shade what an incredible poem.
Poems that come from the heart always ring more sweetly and more true in my soul.
You must have loved them very much.
Blessings to you both my lovely.
Moon.
