| ****Now remember no one can tell you who or what you are, you know that instinctually in your heart and soul. These are mere things that tend to be true for some Otherkin. But these are NOT true for ALL Otherkin! **** 1. Some Otherkin feel very different from humans. (A subconscious part of them knows what they are even if they can't name it.) They feel like an outsider to humans most of the time, though they can feel accepted at other times. (this is the most common trait) 2. Some Otherkin see things that others can't. Spirits of trees, beasts, people, etc. Aura's, Otherkin shapes overlaying the human physical shape (phantom ears, tails etc.) 3. Some Otherkin's hair and nails grow fairly quickly and their eyes can change color due to mood, health, moon cycle or seasons. 4. Some Otherkin have a strong sense of smell/taste/sight/touch/hearing compared to general humans and know instinctually that they perceive the world through more than those human 5 senses. 5. Some Otherkin find themselves thirsting for something they know but can't name. If they've tasted blood it drives them wild and fills them with energy. they crave it in a way that borders beyond addiction and obsession. they simply NEED it. 6. Some Otherkin find themselves starving for the taste of flesh. The feel of their teeth tearing meat, the flavor running down their tongue to fill their belly. They dream of the chase, of the play, of the kill. Usually prey animals. Meat drives them wild and they MUST have it. 7. Some Otherkin feel more attune to a forest than they do to a crowd of humans. The trees speak to them, and they can listen. The wind whispers its secrets and they can keep them. 8. Some Otherkin see beyond the mask people wear more often than not. Seeing the truth of them without really knowing them. 9. Animals can see the truth of them. They either are naturally accepted by animals or animals are automatically wary of them. 10. There is a wildness inside of them that feels uncivilized and free. It rejoices in the game, in the chase, in the catch. It also feels restrained in the social structure that cages humans. 11. Some Otherkin know things they shouldn't. Predict things that haven't occurred. Remember things that didn't happen in this life and can recall how to do things though they've never done them. 12. Some Otherkin have gone down a hallway, or street and eyes have followed them though they're not dressing outrageous, nor doing anything that warrants attention. Neither they nor the people watching know why they can't help but look up as the Otherkin pass by. 13. Some Otherkin can stand in a room and turn their head for no reason locking eyes with someone else. A knowledge stands there. A kinship. They are that person, that person is them. They are kin. Remember that these are not defining traits for all otherkin. If you do not have anything in common with these traits that doesn't mean you're not otherkin. If you are honest to your self. Completely honest. And you look down to the depths of your soul you know who and what you are. Be true to your self and you will find your place in the world. |
